T6 Cross-Faction Science Bundle - Welcome to Conflicted

Can't begin to describe how happy I am that the KDF and RR are getting their own completely exclusive T6 science vessels at long last. The models look great, and it looks like these ships will specialize in drain builds, which will hopefully expand the usefulness of such playstyles in the future (my preferred, of course).

T6 Nebula is a massive, staggering disappointment. I won't say I hate the ship, but I don't care for it much at all and am monumentally disappointed at the message it's T6-ification sends. Between it and the Nova class, there is no contest. I suppose I can understand why you couldn't release that instead in a cross-faction bundle with what are obviously meant to be large, bulky science vessels, but the Nebula absolutely does not deserve this kind of treatment over the Nova. And for that matter, since the KDF and Romulan vessels are original designs, why not build them around the compact, frigate-esque style of the Nova class?

    You are entitled to your opinion. Majority of the player base prefers the Nebula over the Nova, at least if you believe those polls that keep appearing on the forums.......bc those are always 100% accurate and all........

    I'm excited for the T6 Nebula and all, but am mind-blown they dropped a T6 Science for Klingon and Romulan that at least appear to be new and unique and.........Space Magic Based and all

    Obviously I can only speak for myself but the Nebula class has always been one of my favorite Starfleet designs. And seeing it go to warp together with an Oberth and a Miranda class vessel at the end of Star Trek Generations gives me goose bumps to this very day. I'm super excited!

    Yes it's an old picture, Eridian has been flying T6 science ships but not her Nebula. This was back before T6.

    Perhaps I should have paid more attention to those polls. It seems the Devs must have. I am shocked that the Nebula is more popular than the Nova class, which, granted, isn't as obscure. I'm not gonna start a war over it. In fact, I'll probably pick up the bundle eventually anyway, because those KDF and Rom ships look very tasty.

    The Laeosa Research Warbird looks niiiice. I may have to leave my Rom DSD for that ship.

    I too don't like the Nebula, but a Nova might be a long wait as I can see them wanting to release it as part of whatever new specialization may come after temporal. The kitbash features might make it interesting and dispel the constant cruiser link to Galaxy. Then there's the starship trait which pairs really well for drain on Sci captains since they've been given in the skill revamp a drain bonus on their space captain skills, albeit on a long cooldown.

    The alternatives are to get the Laeosa and picking up a T5-U Korath while they're still on the exchange for KDF, but after a wait this long, any more would only be justified by really bad stats of some sort.

    Gotta support Rom & KDF. The Nebula is just an added bonus that no doubt makes a lot of other people happy.

    not sure about the nose of the klingon one, but hell, Im just this side of stunned they FINALLY gave RR/KDF these ships.

    I look at it this way: the fed ship is free in the bundle, when I buy the Rom and KDF ships I've been waiting 2 years to get.

    A new science ship for Romulan. Great, just can't wait to see what kind of stat, consoles and boff seating option they offer. I just hope its not some big monstrosity like the hanom.

    It would appear though that KDF gets shafted anyway, Rom players who own the C-Store Nebby can use the two piece, KDF have to buy the console on the exchange. Shame really.

    Fed Roms can't use the T5 nebula so they also don't get the set....not like it's an amazing set anyway... If only acc did something meaningful in PvE.

    The nova will get its T6 treatment soon enough, but the T6 nebula is far from a disappointment as far as i am concerned.
    It's a different play style, but the extra bulk may be one of its greatest assets.
    This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    Yeah, Nebula is one of the toughest science ships in the game.

    Sure guys, There will be a T6 Nova - If for no other reason, then to give the KDF and ROM yet another sci vessel ;-) Who knows, maybe they'll eventually get dedicated T6 carriers as well (T'laru doesn't count, because lockbox) ;-)
