lock camera distance on console

Is there any way to lock the camera distance on PS4? Each time I start an action I set the proper camera distance for me and go. But the next time the action stops and I have some interaction with an NPC the camera reverts to its previous setting and I have to reset it again. I prefer the camera to be as tight in on my character as possible. I'd prefer 1st person but since I cant get it I want the camera as close as possible. I dont have the best eyesight so I need things as big as possible to be able to see what is going on.

    Theres a way to lock it. You change it to where you want, after every transition, after every conversation, everytime. :)

    We dont even have the ability to lock that distance on PC. For me I dont have that much of an issue on Ground, Space is another matter.

    On PC it stays where you put it though.
