Ah didn't see Aidy's pic. He's talking about the nacelle bug. Very legitimate issue. To be precise, with Imperial Pylon selected and any of the 4 nacelle types chosen the left nacelle is out of position.
Tritan, I hit up the tailor with my Sovereign. I did not notice any issue with my ship except for that pylon/nacelle issue either at the tailor or in space. I'm using Vet material and all Imperial components. I tried a couple other combinations of parts, hull materials, and patterns, and did not have any issues with those either. So not sure exactly what you mean without a pic. Which hull materials have this problem? Which parts were being used, imperial, sovereign or what? Which patterns were you using when you had the issue? What are your graphic settings? What hardware do you have? Ensure you disable visuals for your engine, shield, deflector, consoles, etc that have visuals to eliminate that as the problem.
Me and Aidy are in the same fleet and we were trying some troubleshooting on my issue, which we agreed screamed texture loading issues of some type.
It was really strange as aidy's ship (fleet assault cruiser) in the sov skin looked fine to me whie my ship ( T5-U Regent ) also using the sov skin was all blotchy and odd.
So next i bought the fleet version, loaded tailor, still nothing showing up,as in, no ship in the middle, but in space it looked as it should. strange.
Next when i logged off i ran force verify, loaded back in, and now both are looking how they should again and both show up in the tailor. So bad patching perhaps?
But what i find odd is that if it was a bad patch ( files getting lost somewhere maybe? ) it was only this ship in this skin that was affected, so this together with other probs with the classes skins such as aidy's, is something funky going on under the hood? hopefully fixed when the T6 comes.
Anyways TLDR, thanks for ur interest but fixed for now.
lilgoth, ya it's still bugged after the 10th patch.
tritan, there are quite a few people having texture loading problems. I recall reading that the setting for graphic memory of auto wasn't working correctly for some people. Probably specific video cards and or specific graphic drivers. Using a setting of 1024mb+ resolved their issue. I can't confirm as I don't have this issue and I use auto. I'd give that a try. The ship not loading at all in the tailor is more then textures. Maybe that force verify did fix your patching problems. I've never had any patching issues nor did force verify ever do anything for me. But it does help a lot of people and is typically one of the first steps to fixing issues.
