Is this new or has this changed: Return ARtifacts from Archaeological Site in the Deferi Sector

I noticed a few DOFF assignments that hadn't caught my attention before since the update.
For example - Return Artifacts from Archaeological Site in the Deferi Sector

I seem to remember there were some kind of artifact related tasks (like "Appropriate ARtifacts something something" before, but those granted crafting materials. This one grants 643 Exploration Points. It seems more than I am used to seing. Did I just overlook this assignment all the years, or is it new or changed?

IT cold be that the only thing that changed is the order of the rewards listed - it seems one of the few assignments were Commendation XP is listed before experience points.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.

    If anything, it's just new to Deferi Sector. Assuming it's the one I'm thinking of; 20h run time, wants three guys, at least one Research Lab Scientist, right?

    I know Fed chars have always been able to get that flavor of assignment by going over to the sectors surrounding Q'onos, and getting it from their Science Department Chief's Exploration assignments. I *think* it works the other way, too, with KDF guys having them available around Sol, but there I'm speculating.

    Yes, it requires something like 3 Research Lab Scientists. ANd there are other variations. I never noticed missions like that before.

    I think it might just have been a change in how the rewards are ordered, but I am not sure. IN an effort to max out the 3 Specializations for my Temporal Agent rewards (Completed yesterday), I have been consistently looking for DOFF assignments with maximum skill point rewards, and usually the skill point reward is listed first - and so I first thought I had found a new type of assignments (after month of flying through sector space and DOFFing) that would give me even more sp then before.

    Alternative, maybe a reward is missing? Don't these missions usually reward crafting mats?

    My recollection is they only reward some materials on crits (I want to say blue-level), not regular successes.

    I'm 90% sure they used to reward on normal success too. I'm also 90% sure that they used to reward about 400 cxp rather than about 600.

    Personally I'd prefer the old rewards that they gave - It'd be interesting to know if this is as intended or if it's a bug though.
