Just had an idea while playing the game. It would be cool if there was an app for a phone that would allow you to access your duty officer assignments and manage them. Maybe access mail, bank and exchange from it.

    It's been proposed before, and seems a fairly popular idea, too. However, it doesn't seem like it'll happen anytime soon, if at all. There's very limited mobile functionality on the PC version via http://gateway.startrekonline.com that lets you view your gear and donate to your Fleet, but very little else, and development has been abandoned last I heard.

    Neverwinter's Gateway had similar functionality to your proposed app, but is being closed down entirely due to reported problems of botting.

    I came up with this idea too. But i didnt tell anyone so i wouldnt be disappointed.

    Oh please PLEASE give us an STO app.
    I've thought it many times before but it's only since I saw it on Xbox and thought "assassins creed had apps why cant STO?" That I thought how truly awesome this would be.
    Thing is I might just "live" STO all the time which probably isnt too healthy lol!
    It has been mentioned many times before but maybe a nail in the coffin or a glimmer of hope would be appreciated, by me and the OP at least :)

    I’d love such an app as well but consider it unlikely that we ever get such a thing. Free to play also means that you at least have to play if you want anything.

    The purpose behind doffing and admiralty is to give us some easy means to progress while ensuring them regular log in numbers. An app like you propose op would cut their deal in the whole thing completely.

    If I would be them I would sell this feature with the optional subscription and lifetime membership.
