Wait, wait, wait, all red alerts are queues now? Sheesh, if true they could have just removed them from the game altogether. I hate queues, I want free content.
EDIT: I just checked. I'm indeed not thrilled about the queue, because this means once the interest in them drops, the content is not available to play any more (see all the starved out queues that no longer pop). However, the mission itself hasn't changed at all. I am glad they didn't include a mandatory minute of sitting around like other queues have. So yeah, some mixed feelings but overall okay.
However, I can see that low level queues can be a problem, if those missions don't autoscale any more.

"No. Men do not roar. Women roar. Then they hurl heavy objects... and claw at you." -Worf, son of Mogh
"A filthy, mangy beast, but in its bony breast beat the heart of a warrior" - "faithful" (...) "but ever-ready to follow the call of the wild." - Martok, about a Targ
"That pig smelled horrid. A sweet-sour, extremely pungent odor. I showered and showered, and it took me a week to get rid of it!" - Robert Justman, appreciating Emmy-Lou
yes, it is basicly the same old "red alert" minus the XP bonus, the daily. but limited to 5 players.
and if your group is not big on dps your going to lose bij timer running out
I just wonder, what sort amazing example of genius was behind the decision to make the XP gain from the Tholian alert so low? Especially when compared to Borg alerts?
In one hand you got this rather lengthy and difficult encounter that gives you very little XP as a reward, in the other hand you got a fast and rather easy Borg alert that gives you over twice the XP?
I'm asking because i'm pretty new to this game and if this sort of decision making is a commonplace i might not be getting any older when it comes to STO.
Is such example of illogical stupidity a common thing here in STO?
