Anybody notice a fubar after 10-19-16 mainteance

I have been playing STO on my HP AMD A10 apu laptop for 8 months and since Maintenance on the 19th the launcher and game suddenly say my drivers are out of date and unsupported. I can assure yall my laptop is upto date with all drivers. I can run this game 22 hours at a time with all graphics setting set at max values and not have a flicker in the game. I think the Devs and tech support need to address this issue cause it keeps kicking me from the login server unless i launch safe mode first, then the popup window to allow the game to run reduced values does not recognize there is a mouse attached properly move mouse into window area and the cursor completely disappears. I am a programmer and tech support specialist and these kind of hickups are a bit irritating. Please address them. I have submitted my computer specs to tech support.

Yes, I have the same issue. It started with me with tuesdays patch, 10-25-16. I also have a message on the login screen that I have to update the ATI driver. The pop-up window is stupid with the invisible mouse cursor.

I have had this issue prior to the most recent patch. My drivers are the most current they can possibly be, however I now get the message that my drivers are outdated.
Ironically the game runs absolutely fine, other than the irritating message.

I have the same issue, using Crimson 16.10.2 on a Radeon R9 280. The driver is the most recent one, yet the game keeps telling me it's outdated - probably because it's "too new" and the driver signature is unknown to STO at this point. The next patch will hopefully fix that.

EDIT: OP, a more informative thread title would help tremendously to report this error/get people to look at this topic.

OP, you cannot possibly expect Cryptic to test every possible configuration of computer hardware can you? If you are a tech specialist, you should already understand this! This IS NOT a Cryptic FUBAR. It just happens.

It's a Cryptic fubar when you know for a fact all your drivers are up to date and the game still tells you your drivers are out of date. It should be up to the player whether they what to update their drivers or not. It's not the devs responsibility to mandate when and how drivers should be updated.

It doesn't do anything, though. You have the "update your dirvers" text in the menu, but that's it. The game doesn't run any worse and you know you don't have to update your drivers, so declaring it a "fubar" (such a terrible term) is a bit much since it does literally nothing of consequence. As I said above, my bet is that the new driver is just "too new" and the program doesn't recognize it yet, yet it doesn't force-downgrade you or anything.
