[PS4] Buy transwarp coils?

The other day I bought two transwarp coils and thought nothing of it.....now I can't remember where I bought them and I'm fairly certain that it wasn't on the exchange.
I know they were also relatively inexpensive or I wouldn't have bought them.


Now I need more and don't want to drop 35k dilithium on a 10 pack.

so is there a vendor somewhere that sells transwarp coils or am I crazy?

    you probably bought them for dil.... Also, the only real value of those packages is to either give more destination options, or to allow you to TW when you'd otherwise have cooldown.

    Maybe I did buy them with dil, but I only bought 2 individually, not the 10 pack..... but I don't know where I bought them.
    I want to use them for Tour The Galaxy to get from the alpha to the beta quadrant.

    otherwise I can only transwarp to Sol

    Exchange - currently 30k EC each (PC)

    Oh right, I forgot, console.... most of the transwarp option I have on Pc are linked to either Reps, fleet holdings, or Diplomacy. console at least has a few reps active IIRC... It is probably possible to level Diplomacy on console, but mind numbingly tedious. You'd have to do it via "diplomatic" missions since doffing is not in yet. Ancestral sin on Vulcan is one example. The issue is that this and the other missions are dailies, and thus you'd need to do it over a span of weeks or months. Also it'd require a considerable amount of flying around for this.

    On the upside, you get a special costume unlock and the ability to transwarp directly to DS9 when you get to T4.... eventually.

    We don't have diplomacy missions yet. Any mission that has diplomatic options has the diplomatic option greyed out.

    I know they're in the dil store, but they only have a 10 pack for 35,000 dil..... I'm like 50% sure that I only paid 200 each of whatever currency I bought them with.

    ya I know they're there as well, but I didn't drop 30k EC on them, I'm trying to build up my EC to buy the Kelvin dreadnought, so I'm keeping my spending of it to an absolute bare minimum.
    I checked the exchange before making this post, saw their price and said "....... hmmmm...... uhhhh..... hmmm....no"

    Guys, this is really bugging me. It's one of those things that you know, you are absolutely sure of it, but when looking back at it, all the evidence tells another story.

    I'm almost completely certain that I bought them from a vendor, and I know I didn't pay much for them because I'm scrooging it up like crazy right now, but I've asked around and it seems that not one single person knows what I'm talking about so I just sound crazy lol.

    is it possible there was some kind of bug or error that allowed me to just buy two coils instead of a 10 pack? Did they have individual coils for sale and then remove them?
    I don't know, but I'm starting to lose my sanity over this, I really want/need to do tour the galaxy, but without anyway to transwarp to the azure nebula from the alpha quadrant I'll never be able to finish it in the allotted 15 mins.

    Knew I had seen single coils somewhere - whether they are still there or available there on console is another matter.

    Not sure if they have been a drop in lock box or promo R&D box but not impossible.

    Yeah, dialog options with the [Diplomacy] tag require you have levels in Diplomacy. What I was talking about are missions that have Diplomacy Xp as part of the mission rewards. The easiest one to find is the one at Vulcan. One of the Vulcans on the stairs gives it to you.

    You can always use mission transwarp to get where you want. Start a mission tat starts where you want to go, hit "replay", hit the auto-nav-button and select transwarp for EC,

    It costs a relatively small amount of EC, but it's easier to come by than dilitium, you get tons of locations you can transwarp to without triggering the cooldown. For a DS9-Transwarp, choose "Second Wave" for example.

    YES!!!!! That was it.

    I remember now, I felt shafted because after buying 1, I realized they were consumed on use, and I didn't want to spend "real money" on consumables like that. But I ended up buying a second one anyway.

    I'm both happy and disappointed now lol. but mystery solved none-the-less.
