Hey all!!
Im thinking about returning to the gane after like a year, some Qs:
a) I want to create a Fed toon, i already have a blank-Delta recruit science officer; should i create a new ENG/TAC one? Will i lose some perks because they arent Deltas? Do Delta toon bring some perks/goodies?
b)If i use a SCI toon, will be a waste to use a ENG/TAC ship?
c) Do i miss the Agents of yesterday things?
d)Is still a grindfest? i remember the delta quadrant story and/or lvl from 55/60/65 was a major letdown.
e)I also have a ROM/Fed ENG just before the iconian story with some bought ships, is ok or it will be outdated?
f)Can i tranfer credit/dil between my chars?

Delta recruits earn rewards, and they also earn unlocks for other characters (reputation marks, dil). So you might want to finish your Delta recruit tasks first so the new characters can use the unlocks when they reach 50. Aside from getting some level-up gear rewards Deltas are no better than other characters.
Any captain can fly any ship. Tacs will do a little more DPS in any ship because of Attack Pattern Alpha. Sci and Eng both have abilities that make any ship more survivable (damage reduction, healing).
You missed the Temporal Recruitment event that was similar to Delta Recruitment, but you can still create a TOS captain. You get to play a half-dozen TOS era episodes, then you keep TOS visuals and sound effects for things like beam out and tricorder scans. You also get free TOS costumes and TOS bridge officers.
Tip: if you want TOS phasers, ship weapons, extra boffs then use your ship or shuttle account bank to transfer credits to that character so he can buy a bunch of mark 1 gear, some training manuals and some extra bridge officers while you are still in the TOS era. After the 6 episodes you can never go back. You join the normal Federation story line after that.

Not really. For new characters you should already reach 60 (still the max level) by the time you get there.

If it's a T5U or T6 ship those are still endgame, there is no T7.

EC using account bank (subscribe for 1 month or buy in C-Store)
dil using dil exchange. Offer to buy zen for 25 dil for 1 zen. Since the current rate is 400 dil per zen no one will buy the dil. Have the other character go to dil exchange, cancel the sale, withdraw the dil.
