Nukara Crystalline Resilient Shields missing?

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
Looking at the rep projects multiple times I can't find them so I looked at http://sto.gamepedia.com/Nukara_Strikeforce_Technologies#Nukara_Crystalline_Resilient_Shields

to see if it was one of those things I needed to get from a story mission. No mention of it there.

How do you get this to complete the set? Is it bugged not showing up?

    Have you reached T5 in Nukara reputation?

    EDIT: Just for fun, I checked, and I am able to slot the Nukara Shields. No issues here.
    When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

    I didn't know it doesn't show it when not at 5. This is an alt. I never looked / noticed before.

    Yep that's how it works. Just like how you unlock different rep traits at different tiers.

    Rep shields are ALL locked until your character hits T5 in that reputation.

    Since the shields provide the most radial change in visuals they made it the pièce de résistance, crown jewel, cherry on the sundae so they made it the last piece of the puzzel to earn.

    Yes...these shields do have a very nice visual effect.

    My Scryer looks great with the Tholian set and tetryon beams. The ship looks non-Federation enough to be plausible as a Tholian-Starfleet tech hybrid, and the colors, skin and web deflector complete the effect.

    Shield is T5. Interestingly, Nukara has no Core at T4.

    Because the Nukara rep is from the time before warp cores were added.

    Hopefully maybe someday they can retroactively add cores to Nukara, Omega, and Romulan reps.

    Those reps already have a s-load more gear than any other rep. Don't need any more.

    Would be better to add cores to the sets, and give them out as rare drops in a relevant queue or something like that. The queues need more unique rewards.

    They should have the cores rare drop in Elite instances for those reputations.

    Oh, wait..we aren't looking to get people into the Elites; we would prefer to nerf DPS so they don't destroy the CE in 30 seconds....my bad!
