I'm having the same issues on my Xbox One. The mission works perfectly until just after the cut scene with Telen. Then all characters and sprites are completely invisible. I can fire my weapon but don't see any sprites, just reflections on the ground. I can't target anything but I apparently take damage from hits that I can't even see because Telen is also invisible. I die, respawn and have the same issue. I can't completely the mission at all.
It is an answer. The bug was already reported and there was an existing thread on it in the correct sub-forum. A search would have found this and let thescottness know without needing to create a duplicate thread.

I did the mission the other day and had the same problem. I logged out and reloaded. It loaded me in the same place and it was working properly so I could continue. I am on PS4.

I can confirm this method works (At least on the Xbox): once you get the issue after the cut scene, log out, and immediately log back in (Don't go all the way to the dashboard - just the STO login screen). When you reload, all should function properly.

It's often worth trying the search function to see if someone has already created a topic and possibly even answered your question.
