Console: bridge officer gender not listed

At least on ps4, there's no indications from either the exchange or the bridge officer requisition list showing whether a bridge officer is male or female.

Lost 500 zen trying to buy a caitian bridge officer and ended up getting the wrong gender because the game forces you to guess which one is which.

Please fix this ASAP

I will second this, had this on the PS4 version too, on the exchange. Would be good to know gender, or even better see a photo of the officer before buying.

But then they couldn't make you waste money. They know players are in one of two groups; they don't care about the gender, or they do. And those that do, get to play the lottery.

Does gender matter when it comes to stats or something?

No. But some want a certain gender for RP purposes. Maybe you've had a long string of only one gender. Or maybe you want an all male or female team.

BUMP. Same on XBOX. I like a diverse set of BOFFs. On the PC I had a human female engineer as my top BOFF and Vulcan male tac officer for my away team muscle. I want to recreate my PC team on XBOX by buying very rare BOFFs off the exchange.

The genderless listings make absolutely no sense in a game where half the females played in the game are sexualized eye candy. I don't know if the intent is some sort of affirmative action program for BOFFs, but that's ridiculous in a game that allows and encourages highly sexualized visuals. Sex sells. Sex is natural. It's fun for lot's of folks to play sexy characters, but for some reason when it comes to BOFFs were not supposed to know the sex of the candidate? It's as if were free to be heathens designing our own character and even the BOFFs once we have them in a slot but heaven-forbid we purchase a BOFF based in part upon his or her sex. C'mon devs, grow up.
