So I am in the process of outfitting my AOY character with the full Temporal space package. Thus I'll be doing the Miner queue more times than I like to think about. I want to be as effective as possible in Elite so I guess what I am asking is what people are kitting themselves out with. I currently am using the Temporal Ground Set Mk 13 UR, The Chroniton Missile module, the Graviton spike mod, the Crawler Swarm mod(not the best choice I suspect), Overwatch, and Cease Fire(also questionable, though it has saved a Gorn or two while my teammates ping the pacified Rommies)
Advice is welcome. I want to be an effective teammate not a liability.

Devices are handy. I equip all my characters with large hypos when my health drops too low (happens a lot in MIE) and large shield batteries to recharge shields. I also carry a Tribble (ric) which boosts damage and resistance to damage by 1.5% for 3600 seconds (1 hour). The Tribble (ric) generally sells for around 30k - 60k on the Exchange. Note that tribbles do not like Klingons they get no benefits from petting tribbles. But there are exceptions, tribbles from the C-Store can be used by Klingons as well as certain special tribbles like the ones you breed on Risa.
One device that I have been meaning to purchase is the Gambling Device. It has a chance to increase your dodge chances as well as critical chance and critical severity. The effect lasts for 3600 seconds. However, if Lady Luck is against you, then you suffer a penalty to critical hit / severity for 60 seconds. I think they generally sell for around 5m EC on the Exchange.

None of my captains are using rep gear... at least not yet; my AoY captain is still working on the Temporal rep. Most are using the Romulan Imperial Navy (RIN) set from Uneasy Enemies, though I am testing the Na'khul Temporal Operative armor and shield on a few of them. One thing in particular that I like about the RIN set is the Romulan Kit which give you a bonus some good offensive bonuses; +20% Plasma Daamage, +2.2% Critical Chance and +8.8% Critical Severity plus a pretty defensive boost of +52.5 Personal Shield Expert. Even if you do not use plasma weapons the other bonuses are worth having which makes the Romulan Kit a no brainer for me.

For my tactical characters my typical "alpha attack sequence" is as follows; assuming nothing is in cool down mode:
1. Gravity Spike
2. Photon Grenade
3. Secondary Fire using Plasma Wide Beam Rifle (only up to 5 targets regardless of how many enemies are within the cone of fire)
Plasma Wide Beam Rifles are Romulan weapons. They can be purchased from the Romulan vendors by anyone in the Dyson Sphere. Or at New Romulus Command if you are playing the Romulan faction. I basically purchase Mk I versions and upgrade them to Mk XIV. Since only common version exists, getting a Plasma Wide Beam Rifle with the exact mod you want can be extremely difficult, time consuming and expensive. Other weapons sold exclusively by Romulan vendors are the Plasma Repeater Pistol (one of the possible rewards for completing Uneasy Allies) and the Plasma Piercing Beam Rifle. They are basically automatic plasma weapons. And there is also the Plasma Split Beam Pistol.
"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."
Opps... Wrong thread.
