9/2/2016 - Bug List (Multiple Issues)

Since I'm too lazy to write out a bunch of Bug Reports for all this, I'm Just gonna put this all in one.
I will not be including anything that related to lighting, because most have likely already been reported.

This is on my TOS Toon, which I just copied over tonight so any bugs are new.
  • Engineering Kit Frame and Modules missing on Transfer/Login - KNOWN ISSUE
  • Kemocite Laced Weaponry Removed from All Boffs that were Trained in it.
  • Sturctural Integrity Collapse Removed from all Boffs that were Trained in it.
  • Upon login when attempting to place Boffs in Ship Station there were no Previews of the powers they were trained in.
    • Opening the Skills window for each Boff cleared this up.
  • After doing this some boffs that were trained in specilization would appear to have Eight (8) Boff Powers in the Ship Station Screen.
  • Badlands Battlezone is not Available for Entry in Sectorspace for level 60 TOS Character. (unsure if this is tribble specific)

    Badlands is currently completely disabled on Tribble. I have a TOS Character on an in-house shard running the build currently that can access Badlands without issue. I will look into the rest soon.

    Not only engineering kit. also mine [Versatile Tactical Kit Mk XIII [KPerf] [Shield] [Weapon] [SonicP]] with all modules is gone. transfered fresh to be sure and same thing.

    Currently Running the Mission Surface Tension as it is both my favorite mission and it has a few maps that I wanted to see the lighting updates on. So here we go.

    Intro
    • The Volume level on the intro video is really really low. So when players turn up there volume they get slammed when the first dialogue prompt activates.

    Jenolan Space Map
    • When the Ships Flyby sometimes ships will change between high and low quality views for no reason.
    • On the Odyssey this will cause the pylons to look like they are not attached to the Ship

    Conference Hall
    • The Beam in Rooms for all Three factions are EXTREMELY Dark. This is a problem because you really cannot see captain Shon, and then the dialogue prompt appears and in the prompt he is brightly lit.
    • There is a Holofloor that is appearing to cover the entire map. This should not exist. There should only be holo bridges connecting the hallways to the main room, and on the inside of the main circle.
    • This Map is Absolutely Gorgeous. Even more so when the Presentation is Active.
    • Thank you for fixing most of the issue I reported before.

    Sol System Space
    • I was not aware of any issues. :)

    Earth Space Dock - as much as I love this map.... its so immersion breaking having it be old ESD
    • Dead Undine Mobs are Standing up and alive, but completely untargetable.
    • The Animorph Animation that occurs when a NPC Switches from Shill to Undine, is not functional. See Admiral Quinn.
    • The Ambush! Voiceover is not active when the mini-prompt occurs
    • There are lots of issues with Missing Walls. Likely related to lighting.
    • The Intersection After the Central Core is Still using the wrong Forcefields. Its is using the ones with the Vertical streaks which is not wide enough. It needs to use the one with the Horizontal Streaks that is used everwhere else.
    • There are many instances of Eggen, Quinn, Tuvok Standing or Sitting within the body of another NPC
    • There is one NPC where an Antares uniform.
    • The Animorph Animation does not play for Eggen Either.
    • During the "Mind Attack' Cutscene. the White backgroudn doesn't appear, meaning you can continue to see Quinn, Tuvok, and the Players Character in the Background behind Tuvok and Cooper. This is even cooler. I love this!

    Qo'Nos System Space
    • The First Wave of Undine Do not Spawn.
    • You can Continue an activate the way points to bring in the Reinforcements, but because that first NPC Group isn't there, you don't get credit for killing them, or for holding out for reinforcements.
    • No Tuvok/Koren Voiceover when Mini-prompts appear

    Mission Progress Stops - You Cannot Continue Past this Point

    The standing dead Undine are a problem I had about two weeks ago when I last played through Surface Tension. The downed NPC with the Antares uniform has been there as long as I've been playing (over a year now)...pretty sure it's a vestigial holdover from the old days. As far as ESD looking like the old ESD, remember that this mission was created to explain why ESD suddenly looked different.

    I envoy all your bugs, as I can't even play tribble. Game client crashes as soon as you click Engage. Holodeck works.

    Were these powers REMOVED, or simply unavailable to train? If the officer defaulted to one of those abilities, via loadouts for example, were they still available for use?

    Were these powers REMOVED, or simply unavailable to train? If the officer defaulted to one of those abilities, via loadouts for example, were they still available for use?

    Unavailable to Train.
    Unlisted as Available Powers on Boffs that already had them on either the Skills window or Stations Window.


    I did find that they returned when I loaded a Loadout. Which was Surprising since those don't usually work on Tribble. By Returned I mean be came available on the Boffs that had them. They were still unavailable to Train on others.

    The Dead undine probably broke when they made the Backend Animation Changes before the launch of Agents of Yesterdau.

    The Fact that it was old ESD wasn't really a bug, more of a.... "Okay now that Old ESD is gone, You are confusing the hell out of the new players with this map" observation. I also wish they would replace the Crappy "Faux Intrepid" with the real Voyager Bridge now that we have that map. I'm just hoping for a Full pass. :)

    There are quite a few old assets that really need a revamp. DS9 and K-7 are grossly oversized (I should not be able to fit a Galaxy class in the shuttle bay on K-7, or a Scimitar in a docking bay on DS9 barely large enough for a Defiant's nose) (and the reasoning for them being so is now clearly moot with the new roughly 1.5x scale stations (which is perfect sizing, it's big enough for a 5 man group (or just BOffs and their pathing), but small enough to feel correct (I feel the old launch-era assets are typically MMO, in that they are insanely oversized, feeling cavernous and sparse (console lost in the sheer size of the room issue) (P.S. I really liked the early fed mission revamp you did a few seasons back, made those episodes look a lot better, as well as paced better, maybe the same treatment should be done to the old Featured Series? (which make up almost all the ugliest and worse paced missions in STO now)) from TOS (23c ESD for example) and Krenim (Fleet Research Lab)); ALL old TOS ships that aren't Starfleet are still using the outdated and ugly old White hull, which really jars when it's in a TOS era mission (night of the comet, the Guardian Of Forever mini-arc, etc)

    As for the "Standing Dead" issue, that seems to have come with AoY's backend animations and not really fixed yet on Holodeck or Tribble, sometimes they die properly, sometimes they die standing, sometimes they even die in another animation.

    Also, to be honest, I often totally forget the well made and paced Surface Tension exists (which is odd, considering it's a very major events episode, with ESD and Qo'nos being attacked (Again if KDF, Fek'ihri and all that), as well as the reveal of Martyra (my nickname for M'Tara) who is a member of my favourite STO species), as it's slapped in with the Dyson Adventure (AKA Dither around on impulse for ages for 5 marks after doing something zone) Zone arc, which I always skip, and after A Step Between The Stars in that arc, which I put in my top 5 worst missions (along with Coliseum, Of Bajor, Boldly They Rode and Zahl System Patrol (that one NEVER ends, it just keeps going, I thought patrols were supposed to be the quickest missions) (noticing a theme with these? Lengthy and mostly consisting of just travelling a long distance (or space-walking painfully slowly in BTR's case)), mostly due to it's length, painful space walk, and forced use of a ship (I really dislike these, but at least the Targ was gimicky fights (Doomsday Device) and the Enterprise C was level-locked 50 and got the Pastak to kill everything if you were struggling, the Obelisk was one fight where you had consistent and plentiful reinforcments that easily killed the Elachi off, the DSD was not level-locked, and you had to keep it for multiple fights) that doesn't pack enough punch to deal with the enemies (especially when the Lleiset breaks and gets stuck cloaked, it took over 30 minutes to kill the 2 undine dreadnoughts with a Level 60 who was being nearly instakilled and a Bortasqu that was barely doing enough damage to whittle the Undine down).

    Overall though, I'm looking forward to this lighting upgrade, if the Tribble population can help get the bugs down so when it goes to Holodeck we don't have to get new eyes (brightness is a common theme, which I semi-expected as STO currently (on Holodeck) seems to have a bit of a dark filter, but not the blinding levels certain sources (romulan med-bay on Dyson Joint Command is my example).

    P.S. It was nice to see that AoY finally revamped the Breen Enemy Faction to use the new ship models (probably due to it being easier to revamp the whole lot, instead of the specific groups in Vorgon Conclusions), as well as a large selection of Cold based moves from the winter store (because let's face it, all the Breen really were until the final days of the Dominion War was an excuse to make cold temperature based jokes and comments).

    51 + 1 Foundry Character Slots is NOT enough. Some of us love our characters. If I want to buy more character slots, why can't I? I couldn't experience the entire Delta Recruitment event without deleting a character.

    The Iconians themselves can't time travel because their memories revert, but there is nothing to say an Iconian couldn't write everything she needed to do on a PADD, pin it to herself, travel back, read the PADD, do the tasks and return. Or just get one of her Non-Herald underlings to go back in time for her.

    Oh yeah, I do Foundry missions for both KDFs and Feds. Just search KSTF (Short for Kinas Special Task Force, where Kinas is the name of the Admiral you will be serving under). The earlier ones are less story based and more combat based, while the later ones have a much heavier story element, but keep the large battles.

    bugs: Adm Garrett's office is way too dark other areas on 23c earth spacedock are too bright
    when you finish the 23c story arc and go to 25c you can't finish intro by taking to Lt Lauren

    also for tribble can we get access to bank and mail in 23rd century and a vendor for tribble that produces things needed for crafting oh and maybe a temporal ship vendor (tribble only)

    Add Subspace Vortex to that list, I had a BOff with Rank 1 and the power's gone. No training, no availability on pre-trained copies.

    Add Subspace Vortex to that list, I had a BOff with Rank 1 and the power's gone. No training, no availability on pre-trained copies.

    Beam up to Sol Space and try to load a Loadout. This should re-add Kemocite and other Lockbox Abilities to your Bridge Officers.
