What to do with EC on console?

I am up to 44mil EC on PS4 I had 5 mil, and sold the Jem'hadar ship for 39,999,999 EC. Now what can I do with it besides search the exchange? I was hoping there would be a way to turn it into Zen or something. I know it's dilithium for the currency exchange not EC, but I was just hoping somehow you could switch it over or something. Anyhow any advice on what to do with my new found riches?

Hmm, in your shoes I'd have asked this before selling the Jem'Hadar ship but hindsight is 20-20.

No, you can't turn EC into zen.

On the PC, you can buy most lock box contents (weapons, costumes, traits, ships), lobi ships, loot drops, crafted gear and crafting mats, bridge officers, duty officers.

Aside from Zen, what do you want?

You can eventually buy Contraband on the Exchange which can be eventually converted to Dilithium Ore once the Duty Officer system is introduced. So it is possible to convert Energy Credits to Zen in an extremely convoluted and inefficient method.

I'm not at 45mil but 8mil with nothing really to spend it on. I'm either very/utlra/epic lvl 14 on everything including away team gear.

I too am finding it pointless to search the mkt. I help others out and give people money in the social zones if they are trying to wheel n deal for trades. I ask them how much they need and give them usually 10x that to help them out. I'm selling 800k items regularly. I make close to a 600- mil lately a day and buy items for fleet member to help them upgrade too.

That's true. But is has become a lot more tedious and difficult since the doff mission now takes 20 hours to complete. Not sure about the price of contraband on console but let's assume it's 20'000 per contraband. It would take 400 Turn-in-contraband doff missions to turn it all into dilithium. Even if you created 10 alts it would take 40 days to complete.

Edit: my bad. The doff system has not yet been released on console. So no, there's currently no way to turn EC into Zen on console.
