PC-Console transfer

I had assumed that it'd be possible to play with our old characters, however I guess that was a bit silly of me!

I should start by saying that I wasn't really intending to play STO again, as I really don't enjoy PC gaming very much. The controls in the console version are a lot nicer, though. And I'd be willing to get my captain back up to Admiral rank again and get all the Borg goodies back that I earned on my last character.

However, I was wondering if it'd be possible to implement a way to remove items purchased in the PC version, and add them to our console account. For example, I purchased the TOS uniforms in the PC version, but they're not available in the PS4 one!

Now I'm not saying "give us these items on both for free!", and that's not what I'm here to discuss. But for players like me who want to entirely switch the system they play on, it'd be nice to be able to reclaim those items on the console version, even if it means locking them out on the PC version.

Essentially, it's an "as if the console version was available at launch" type of deal, I know I wouldn't've bothered with the PC version in that case, and I'm sure others agree! :)

Even if they don't want to support cross play severs I can get that. I can understand how hard that would be for the console players to catch up. But to be honest they should have account synchronization. Give me my LTS and my z-store purchases on the consoles. This can be done without cross play and it is a good thing for STO. For example my friends stopped playing STO and because they stopped I don't play as much some times going months without playing that means I am going months of not buying things in the z-store. Now when I do play I still don't want to buy much in the z-store because I am not playing as much. However now that it is on console I have a new group of friends to play with. Why should I have to purchase LTS and all the ships I already paid for again? Nothing makes you feel more ripped off than what I am describing. Aren't I valuable as a returning player even if it is on the console? So now instead of playing with my friends and telling them how fun STO can be I am telling them I feel ripped off and won't play...Now they hear my story and it makes them not want to play...because why give money to a company that cheated my friend? Account synchronization is not a new concept. Smite did this for both consoles and it worked out really well. PLEASE DEV'S MAKE THIS HAPPEN LET ME LEVEL NEW CAPTAINS WITH MY FRIENDS!!!

Yeah, that's how I feel about it. I don't want to re-purchase things that I've already paid for in the past, when I'm forced to make a new captain for my return to the game on console. I don't mind making a new captain, even though I'm losing out on all the cool stuff I bought on my old one, but I do mind losing the TOS uniforms, the Borg bridge officer, and the Delta Flyer!

If I could get the purchases already linked to my account, I'd be more likely to purchase further items, too. If they ever DO make this happen, I'll probably buy somethin' to celebrate. :D

Same here, feels like the console push was a quick cash grab since they dont let us who have already bought and paifd for items, reclaim them on the console even after linking our accounts. It feels like we arent being valued for our previous purchases and are basicly being told, "got to pay us agian for the same stuff". I also am returning to STO and a few friends who are lifetime subscribers are also on console, not being able to atleast claim what we have already paid for on pc will drive away most veterans and previous players who like me are looking at the console version as a new way to play and enjoy STO.

Yeah, I don't get it everything should be in the cloud by now you shouldn't even have to transfer characters to one server to another. Plus whats up with no lifetime benefits on console? Or even no zen store transfers at all!?!

you don't HAVE To play the console, I also played PC and lost out on stuff, so what? The in game economy would be destroyed more so than it already is. It doesn't take all that long to grind all the way up. I personally found that a second play through expedited my leveling process. Also there was lots of new content I never did so after New Rom it was all new to me.

in short man up stop complaining
