It could be an issue anywhere between the server and yourself - possibly some emergency repairs and the re-routing is causing the signal to time-out before a response is recieved or the fault is causing data to be garbled resulting in a ctd if the system can't understand the response.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
I got Server Not Responding error every time I tried to use my AoY character this weekend. I submitted a Support Ticket. Turned out that there was an error related to the map information. They moved the character to a different map. I haven't had a problem logging in since.
I got disconnected from the server (on PC) like 3 or 4 times last night. Not awesome. Usually it only happens once or twice a week but last night was especially bad for whatever reason. Most commonly it happens when I'm moving from one map to another.
I don't use proxy and the only thing with a proxy setting is for the patch server. Another problem I forgot to mention is the picture on Launcher is corrupted and when I was trying to download Tribble server updates, it would **** out every 90MB or so.
The corruption could mean a bad file, which is causing the download checksum or connection checksum to fail integrity checking.
First of all - physically unplug your router/modem from the power for at least 5 minutes, this will clear the DNS cache in the router and should help with connection stability.
Next - I know that many will cry cliche but start the launcher and select options from top right. Make sure on demand patching is unchecked, then check force verify. This will make sure you have every file required to run the game and also check for corrupted files.
Finally, if you are still having major problems such as corrupted graphics on the launcher uninstall everything connected with STO and Arc. Open the installation folder and physically delete ALL files and the run a registry cleaner (CCleaner has a decent registry cleaning app - run the app, do not save a back-up and repeat until no registry issues exist). Reinstall Arc and STO, then allow it to update. Again this will ensure that there is no corrupted files, the drawback is that you will need to update the full game and reset any custom settings.
The first 2 steps are recommended, if only to verify the integrity of your install and clear any data fragments from your caches. The final step, may or may not resolve any issues but is always worth as a last resort, although I would refer again to my earlier post that not all connection issues are server related or client related but can be caused by any number of factors between the two.
i keep getting snr when i try to do the mirror event. today it was 3 times in a row and got booted all 3 times. the last team i was on i was watching them get booted one by one. whats up with the server instability ?
I keep getting disconnected while it was trying to retrieve character list. Anyone else having problems?
I dunno what kind of setup you have but I find often enough that people are not using their networks properly when this happens usually.
So let me say this. If any of you are on a wireless network and trying to game. Stop.
Seriously, plug yourself in.
Don't use a gateway modem, get yourself a real modem, and a gaming router with upnp support.
Plug yourself in. Cat5 cables come in all shapes and sizes but better yet, your cable company has the option to have a tech come out and install cat5 plugs in your walls. It's not cheap but you will thank yourselves for it.
Stop using wireless.

Go have a coffe and try again in a while
PC user BTW.
Me too on the SNR and the PC player.
We come in peace, SHOOT TO KILL!
Logging into the game without them can be painful because of connection quality at times however it at least should work all the time.
The quality of EU and US proxies are much better however the past few weeks they stopped working all of sudden.
