Trendy..

i would really like a forum mod too explain why us brits have too wait until the 9th.. too be able too DL the game on console?

if you region change... then its there..

    Today I can see the game in SmartGlass and I can search for it on xbox.com in my region (I live in mainland Europe) but if I click on it, the page says it's not available. Quite annoying but I think it will be properly released tomorrow.

    Cryptic has always done a terrible job at communications. I remember new seasons being released and people only knew about it when they saw a big patch being downloaded after maintenance. Now the console release - one would think - is a big thing. You would guess they want to create some sort of hype by announcing the release date weeks in advance. But no. A simple Twitter message from a dev. That's all their marketing departement was capable of.

    I live in australia and i can't even find a date for when we will get it! It's damn frustrating because i really liked the game on pc back when i played... Someone please give me a date at least :'(

    Swap your region settings to US, download game and swap back, I'm in UK and did this last night and it worked fine after resetting to my region.

    The reason for this has already been explained numerous times. They are doing a staged release on purpose to monitor server load and counter any issues as they crop up. Doing a world-wide release at once may result in a catastrophic crash of the servers. What Cryptic have do is not only prudent, but recommended. Better to have only a small number affected than the entire world of Generation Entitlement!

    That's the way a lot of things work. Be happy you don't live in the US, where CBS won't let Netflix have Start Trek Discovery.

    By the way, a forum mod would have as much chance explaining my issue as they will yours, so your accusations are misplaced.

    As for why cryptic has done it this way, dont think any reasonable people have any issue with doing it that way. The problem is all over reddit, their twitter, their facebook and these forums, people have been asking when and no word whatsoever from cryptic, that i believe is what is annoying folks, all the while most are still annoyed nothing at all carries over, not even a 500 zen thank you.

    p.s. Ive been playing for 3 years until the pc went boom last year, so instead of saving for a new one im quite glad i can jump onto console. Yes id would have been nice to carry over my c store unlocks, but i kinda get why they havent

    As a side issue, ev - you want a forum mod to explain. That's been in all your posts - every time you should use "to", you use "too", which means "also". Homonyms can be trouble, yes, but that's for the occasional error, not the ongoing series.

    I mean, come on, you're British, you guys invented this language!​​

    There is a HUGE difference between changing the region on your console, and changing your Microsoft Account Region.

    You can change the region setting on your console as many times as you want. This is what he was talking about.

    Exactly, as noobcamper said, those are 2 totally different things. Many people have switched back and forth for things like this, really isnt a big deal.

    Go to settings, language and loaction, switch to US, restart. Download the game and then switch back to UK. Easy peesy :)

    Edit: Also dont have to stay in the US location to play either, did this and switched straight back to UK, game loaded up and plays fine

    Or you could just wait the 15 or so hours for it to appear on the UK XBOX store and use the PC version to tide yourself over (if you have a PC of course)

    Why yes yes you could. To be honest, i was just curious to see if it worked or not. Logged in for about 10 mins to see how it ran, but wont really have time to play until sunday anyways lol
