Why cant we play as a Cardassian?

Does anyone else want to play as a Cardassian personally I loved the Cardassian-centric episodes in Ds9and I think there could be some fun plot lines playing as the Cardassians in favor of the former government or the democratic Star Fleet promoted goverment.

    If its a serious question, the answer is because they didn't do a cardy/ferengi/borg/race of you choice expansion, the only expansion that introduced a new faction and had a decent run of levelling missions was the roms in 2013. Since then theres been Delta Uprising in 2014, which had no new playable faction, and this year's time travelling feds that have a few missions before being shoe-horned into the standard fed levelling process.

    Unless someone throws a ton of money into the development of new content, it seem reasonable to expect the future of the game to be like the last couple of years.

    For now you'll just have to make do with assembling a Cardassian from Alien parts, a crew of Alien Bridge officers and sitting on the Bridge of a Cardassian box ship like I did.

    I would love to play as Cardassian. The factions, locations, ships and weapons are already in the game, they just need to be enabled for players to join/use.

    I want to play as a Talosian... or a giant green space hand. The spoon heads don't excite me. I do like their justice system though. We should adopt it here on earth.
