The blog says it's a progressive rollout. North America is first. I'm not sure why they are going this way and I have little to no idea how any of that stuff works. The other markets are coming you just have to wait a bit.
I don't mind a phased rollout but I think it's a mistake to not get the game into peoples hands for the 50 year anniversary. This is the best time for doing Star Trek related stuff. if they wait too long they will miss being able to ride the Star Trek buzz that people are on right now.

Mr. Spock: And the ways our differences combine, to create meaning and beauty.
If it was a worldwide rollout today the poor hamsters would run themselves to death trying to keep the server wheels spinning.
On the bright side, the steady creation of "why is it American only!?!?" threads proves that people do want to play STO on consoles, contrary to some doomsayers here.
A phased roll-out is pure common sense. They need to monitor Server load and stability. Better to only have a few states complaining than the entire world when the server drops. The Anni is the 8th, and as far as I'm aware, that's the final day of release to console to, so people are not missing out.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
just change your region settings then it appears, then reset regions...
the rollout is maybe cause they don't have enough hamsters ticking over the servers..
Apparently downloading the US game on a UK system wont work. Sure, you'll be able to download it, but not actually play (or so I've heard).
working for me and others..
what an absolute farsh.. this port has become.
Yanks/kiwis/ossie etc can... but brits/french/spanish etc can not..!
why the 9th for the DL?
So, you're cheating the systems, and running software not intended for your region - and any issues encountered with this kludge are Cryptic's fault?
You sure you're not an American? 'Cause that sounds like some of the "reasoning" I've heard around here.
I'm a Cheat... is that what you are saying?
maybe I'm a yank living in the UK.. or Japan... who are you?
I didn't say you're "a cheat" - I said you were "cheating the system". Please read the words I actually type, rather than attempting to interpolate your own.
As for who I am? I'm a 'Murrican, living in 'Murrica, and have heard plenty from folks who blame everyone but themselves when something gets screwed up after they've messed with it.

You made an implication. You should read more into the Xbox stuff, might increase your understanding.
Jason, I "implied" nothing. I say what I mean to say, no more, no less. Anything you believe you see between the lines is your responsibility, not mine.
And while of course all posts here are open, your reply here seems to be nothing more than an attempt to stir the pot. Why? is this an important point for you?

Jon, I called it as it was. Your intent was clear. I saw nothing more than was wrote.
I intend to stir no pots whatsoever as you say. You can carry on doing so if you wish.

release in the UK is apparently Friday for PS4, so it's probably the same for XBOX One too

You're right, my bad, sorry about that, I'll delete that post.
Check out the Conditions that can prevent you from changing country/region on XBOX One here https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/my-account/microsoft-account/update-microsoft-account-country-region
What I get from it is that if you change region right now, you might be prevented to change it back again for 3 months
On the internet, no one is responsible for his own actions or situation.
'Til it's released on Friday no-one will know
Don't worry about him, really he's not worth it.
