Edgy character and handle names that you encountered.

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
Please do tell if you happen to meet or teamed up with a player that has an edgy toon or handle name and do they somehow live up to their chosen name?

    The other reason is because why not MAGA?

    That reaction is why I love opening lockboxes on Trump named toons. Got lots of love when "President Donald J. Trump" was winning ships. Just couldn't stop winning.

    There used to be throngs of "Donatra" characters running around. So original. Then there used to be Jokers running around but you don't see many of them anymore either. Fake Kirks are ever present as are fake PIcards though they aren't as well represented. Come to think of it, I haven't seen a "Thrawn" in a long time.

    I think my favorite character name has to be "Only Exists to Open Boxes."
    When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

    I've also seen a few characters in other games with some variation of flatulence in their name, like "Flatulent Monkey" or "Stinky McFlatulence", but surprisingly haven't run into anything like that here yet.

    My klingons.. Lagh, Servr'Fail and Dis'connekt... They are all named for the issues i find on the game... my son's is Bug'h

    *Slow paw clap* I've seen many KDF names, but those are a chuckle.

    As for literally edgy names, I used to go by "Cliff##" (insert various year numbers) in some other games way back, don't go over the edge : P

    Dunno how "edgy" these are, but I do have the AoY toon Kevin Timeline, a Fed Klink named K'tang (son of P'tooey), and of course my favorite Romufed, Tovan Khev, currently commanding the Xyfius Heavy Escort Tovan Khev XIV (with his first officer Tovan Khev2, science officer Rinna Khev, Reman engineer Rinna NotKhev, and tactical officer Tovan Khev3).​​

    I've actually been rethinking my entire stance on Kirk and this game.

    If you notice his presence is purposely muted. You meet Spock in the original time travel episode (which makes sense, as they had Nimoy available back then for VO work). You meet the entire crew minus Kirk in AoY. You only see Kirk facedown briefly in the Babel-inspired temporal mission.

    And with the Vegas bonus reward (the Holo BOFFs of the original crew) + Special Promo Pack 23rd century Temporal Light Cruiser ... you essentially get everything from that era EXCEPT Kirk. But ... you're the hero right?

    I'm actually in a spot where I can see the Kirk variants being fine from that perspective. You ARE Kirk.

    Now I'm not going to name myself Kirk. No real need to. And I've already named my AoY toon Komack (after my long standing avatar). But as far as seeing people named Kyrk flying around in Enterpryzes? Eh, whatever makes them happy as I think the game has now set it up so that you can conceivable head-canon/RP this as you being Kirk.

    I can't think of any edgy names that really bug me. I've been playing MMOs for ages. And feel like I've seen it all. I'm sure something new will pop up and shock me. But as it stands, right now nothing really stands out.

    Last night I found one of my KDF captains standing right next to a female Orion captain named Per'vert which was actually kinda funny, but not edgy. Other than that, I cannot remember any other names that were edgy.


    However, I have encountered names of captains that were offensive to me. I found them to be offensive because they were AFK'ers in the PVE queue missions. I reported them as AFK'ers and I also added them to my ignore list. I have seen it mentioned that adding a player to your ignore list will prevent you from joining future PVE queue missions with that person. I don't know if it is true because I do not really bother noting every name on the team every time I play those missions.

    My one toon is named Overpwr McBroken and all over her ships are named USS UNNERFABLE

    There are so many Kirks out there,
    no need for any edgy stuffs to express
    what humanity can achieve with a 5 years interstellar breeding program
    (I was going for serial .... but that may be too much )

    there are a few names that made me laugh out.

    Tim E. Traveler is clearly a TOS toon
    G'kar seems to come from a different universe
    and Al Gorn sounds like a high ranking official on the Gorn homeworld

    I started giving my Event ships odd prefixes S.N.R. (as in Server not responding) and names like "Rubberbandit" some time ago.
    18 characters
    KDF: 2 tacs, 2 engs, 3 scis
    KDF Roms: 3 tacs, 1 eng, 1 scis
    FED: 2 tacs, 1 eng, 2 scis
    TOS: 1 tac
    all on T5 rep (up to temporal)
    all have mastered Intel tree (and some more specs Points)
    highest DPS: 60.982

    I love that you used the completely nonsense spelling "misspelt" to describe bad spelling, since that is not an actual word. Brava.
