Original Series Holo BOFFS availability

Can I please get some clarification as to how to obtain them? Some sources are saying only at Las Vegas, whilst others any Star Trek convention. I'm going to Destination Star Trek UK in October, and would like to know if that qualifies (also for the EMH boff).

    I believe that the picture must be of yourself wearing a Star Trek-style uniform of some kind. Street clothes likely don't count.

    Thanks, all. I have a TWOK uniform, so that shouldn't be an issue ;)

    And how do we claim the codes? Also to confuse/not clarify my understanding is you don't have to be in costume only prove you were there.

    Wait, so I have to hear fourth hand, from a second hand source, about an STO related event and items? Seriously Trendy, please for all that anybody could ever find holy, consolidate all your releases here.

    This is an unfortunate side effect of Trendy being promoted.

    Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for her and she absolutely deserves it. But she was the only person in that position that ever talked to the players. She did a great job of listening to people and trying to get people help when they needed it.

    I'm not sure if anyone has been appointed to her old position or not, but if they have, the fact that I have no idea who he/she even is tells you everything you need to know. Sadly, the players lost their best method of communication with the 'powers that be.'

    Again though, she deserved it.

    I actually only mentioned Trendy because I am only playing STO. Somewhere, not long ago, some MMO dev or community rep, posted something related to their game on a site or forum outside their official forums. Then, the people there expected it, all the time. Then, in a cascade, EVERY other MMO staffer for every other MMO started doing it as well. Now we have podcasts, reddits, forums, interviews on gaming sites I have never heard of...

    When information should only come from THE source people know where to look. The official forums.

    Cryptic has been doing pretty good in most regards, links on the patcher, posts in the appropriate forums section, all tied back to Arc. But too much information gets disseminated to outside sources with no mention on the official site. It's a disease within the industry, and neither Cryptic or Trendy are to blame for its creation.
