the mission...what in the hell were you thinking? or were you at all?
first, catch 22 missions/game mechanics/dungeons, etc aren't used in games for a REASON. you don't give a player what he/she needs to survive after it's all over...it's moot at that point. it's not 'thinking outside the box' or being 'creative' it's flat out not done for a reason.
second...because of that, you turned everyone that the player had been involved with throughout that arc into nothing but TROLLS. they knew the danger, they had protection...did they warn you? no, did they offer you protection? no. instead they want you to help, ask you to help, and giggle while you die. all the while withholding protection they obviously had as they give it too you at the end.
i was hoping at the last fight with noye i'd get a dialogue option to join with him and wipe those smug (censored) out. i can see why he'd want to over throw them all.
get it yet oh mighty mission designer? ragnarok was failure on multiple levels. catch 22, bad design. lead npc's are nothing but trolls, bad story because of the mission design. did NO ONE vet this? think even just a little how it would make the npc 'heroes' of the story seem? dragging in an unprotected ship and it's crew to help them in what would be a suicide mission for them and their crew with no warning and no offer of any device to protect them?
i'm 50, been gaming since pong, consoles, amiga, commodore and PC, even wrote some games...this is by far the worst i've ever seen in any game, standalone or mmo. there was no thought, no QA, nothing but apparently 2 people one on story another on mission design with no real communication between them...at best. and no vetting of the final result for consistency...or anything else.
you should be ashamed. you've achieved a level of bad design even asset flippers on greenlight struggle to obtain.
