Well, OP..I just bought some keys and sold them on the exchange. Got me a nice T6 Connie for 315 million EC. Was quite simple. If you were willing to pay the money for the ship on the Zen store, what difference is there in spending your money on the keys and buying it from the exchange?
all I am saying is that cryptic/pe made the most dumbest thing to do is put this ships in lock boxes they should of been Z store for everyone to get not just a select few rich kid players they could of put a different ship in a lock box not the T6 connie or the dreadnought I have been waiting for yrs for cryptic to put out a top tier connie and what they do partner up with PE and put in a d.am.n. lock box its bs
Tdogg, out of curiosity, you think the t6 connie is the best ship in the game, right?
How long should it take to earn the best ship in the game?
Bro...just buy KEYS from the ZEN STORE and SELL THEM ON THE EXCHANGE. Everyone has access to the lockbox ships. Not just the rich kids! Its basically like the ship is in the ZEN store already...
I did not bother reading through every single response so I'll just toss in my 2EC....
Perhaps the KT T6 Connie is a lock box ship because CBS stipulated to Cryptic Studio in a contractual legal document that ships from the JJTrek can only be included in the game if the ships are not sold in the C-Store. In other words, CBS would only allow the ships in the game if the JJTrek ships can only be obtained by some other means.
It seems all ships that are sold in the C-Store are from the Prime STO Universe, meaning the game itself takes place in the prime Star Trek universe after the destruction of Romulus and Remus from the perspective of the game. That means while STO takes place in the prime universe, it absolutely not cannon. CBS / Paramount could decide to release future TV series / movies in the prime universe that supersedes what has happened in STO; which is just a non-canon game. Sure there are ships from the future up to the 31st century, but they are still part of the game's prime universe.
JJTrek takes place in an alternate universe / timeline, therefore ships from any of the JJ movies are not considered to be prime universe ships. Thus, they would have no place in the C-Store. Especially if Cryptic was under a contractual agreement with CBS to exclude them from the C-Store.
The means there are basically 4 ways JJTrek ships can be introduced into STO...
#1 - The current method being lock boxes.
#2 - Promotional R&D Packs from the C-Store.
#3 - Promotional Doff Packs from the C-Store.
#4 - Free giveaway on the anniversary day of Star Trek.
#4 is implausible. While it would be an extremely generous gesture on behalf of Cryptic, it would also extremely expensive for Cryptic to do so since they had to pay for an IP license from Paramount / Bad Robot to include those ships in the game. I don't know how much Cryptic needed to pay (proprietary information), but I know it was not cheap.
Just want to check before I go looking to get it in-game (I don't have a T6 ship at the moment) - is this T6 Connie a JJprise, a Refit (TOS Movies) or the TOS one?
Sounds more like the OP wants to complain that the ship isn't where HE wants it to be, rather than find other ways to get it.
Considering those other ways are more than doable, even only using the monthly stipend and/or the zen one gets from doing Arc quests. It would just take more time than simply buying enough zen to get keys to then sell them.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything.
ok a friend let me borrow $10.00 I am willing to trade 10 keys for a T6 connie or kelvin dreadnought its just taking to long to even save up for the ship and if I were to sell the keys on the exchange as the prices are for the keys I wouldn't even make a dent in the EC department ya granted I sold 5 keys from my monthly zen and I got 30 mill out of it but its not even remotely close to that and I did the moth I would roughly get between 55 mil to 60 mil with the prices that the keys are at add that to the 30 mil I have its still not even remotely close to the price range plus with crafting and selling the crafted items it would take too long so I am just asking if anyone is willing to trade for 10 keys? and don't be negative this is a simple question/request

no I am just trying to get the T6 connie or dreadnought and I borrowed $10 from a friend to get keys I am just trying to make a trade but I guess greed rules the world and the game back when this game first started there were players that helped each other out but now all I see is greedy players these days always trying to make a profit.

For a moment I got all excited and thought it was a Refit (preferable) or TOS. Not really a fan of the JJprise.

Man, you're a really desperate for attention.
