Both raiders have similar layouts, gear slots, battle cloak. Do the temporal abilities outweigh the intel abilities? Does the Tadaari's ability to take OSS make it better?
That one can easily crit for 60k times 5 ticks with little effort...
Not to mention you can pop a massive debuff bubble that will turn everything in it into babys.
Also, the 3 set temporal consoles are actually powerfull. With a one min cd.
You get a srong heal console, a damage buff console and a control console...
Oh and one of the malso gives you the effect of the vonph trait, but with less magnitude. A constant CD reducer for your boff powers.
No reason to got the the na kuhl boat unless you really dig the design.
The Temporal ships just have too many good things stacked on them.
After using the Ouroboros on my KDF character, I can tell you the Molecular Deconstruction is quite convincing as an ability. The performance of the ship is really top-notch, too IMO- it turns on a dime and is quick enough to keep up flanking very well.
For a raider, I'm very impressed with its handling and capabilities.
It's not you- it's me. I just need my space.
Being critical doesn't take skill. Being constructively critical- which is providing alternative solutions or suggestions to a demonstrated problem, however, does.

Too bad it doesn't come with a Bop or T'varo holo disguise.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
The only plus of the Raider is that it at least feels like when it's turning, it's more turned, almost standing on its wings, then any other ship I know -so it looks very cool. It would be way cooler if it als had Pilot Ship maneuvers. But it's horribly noisy, like all the Na'khul ships.
I would recommend the Ouroboros.
So far I used a lot of Channeled Deconstruction. It's an Entropy Builder on top of being a simple damaging power. If you have a Builder, you probably also want a consumer. Timeline Collapse seems straight-forward enough. Recursive Shearing is particulaly useful if you use it shortly before you do a massive alpha strike. (provided the enemy survives in the first place:p).
But I haven't made any final assassments on which powers are great and which aren't.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
OSS is just a power buff.
A good one yes, but its one thing the taldaari has over the ouro.
Compared to the already listed perks:
I am not sure about the names, but there isa bubble power that sets up a massive debuff bubble that will turn the ships in it into weak babys.
Channeled deconstruction is a good damage tool and builds entropy. witzh entropy yo ucan supercharge timelinecollapse and other abilites like it.
All in all, the ouro wins by being a brtual beatsticks with lots of powers stacked in its favors
I have a tadaari and not the ouroboros but i can say its a great ship, only problem i have and its prolly just me, but the way my camera is setup i cant always tell if the damn thing is facing ahead or not.
MDB also heals your ship nicely, and disables your target for 3 seconds. If you build up defence counters instead its boosts the healing part of MDB instead for a major heal, or with the support counters at full makes the disable longer.
If you have the control amplifier skill trained MDB will also reduce damage resistance by 33%.
Also the Molecular Reconstruction Configurations are nice too. You have Defence Config +20% incoming hull healing, +max shield power, +1 defence counter ever 10s, Offence which is +20% turn rate, +20% flight speed, + max engine power, +1 offence counter per 10s, and Support Config, +40 control, + 20% exotic damage, +max Aux power.
Here is what I'd do with the Temporal Raider, I'd set up a torpedo sci/temporal build, cloak, build up your offence counters to full, get behind your target, switch to Support Config, decloak and fire MDB, Gravity Well, ect..., fire your torpedoes. Watch your target die.
The 31st Cent Temporal Raider is a convincingly good Raider. It's a better Klingon Bird of Prey than the KDF's own BOPs.
On top of the stats and elements others have covered already, the last game winning thing about it?
It's a C-Store & Cross Faction Purchase. You are not playing Exchange Cloak & Dagger. You are not gambling on the Lockboxes or a Promo Pack, spending lord knows how much resources in the HOPE of acquiring one. It's a C-Store & Cross Faction Purchase. ALL your characters regardless of faction can claim the ship. It's also Fleet Level right out of the box. You'll be hard pressed to find a better buy than the 31st Cent Temporal Ships.
Yes, the 31st Century Temporal Ships are simple the best value in the game for money spent bar none, there is nothing in game short of free ships, that compares in value.
They are flexible for all sorts of builds, they have great consoles and traits, they have the cool and flexible Temporal Mechnics, Temporal Boffs slots, a really good mix of regular boff slots, good stats, very different types of ships, cool pets on two of them, but you can equipt other cool pets. And very affordable.
Honestly they're the best 3 pack of ships in the game, bar none.
I'm gonna go against the grain - I much prefer the Na'kuhl raider. It really depends on your build. I've got 26 points in tac skills and a cannon build on my Na'kuhl that melts everything in sight, and OSS is an essential part of it. The temporal raider and temporal boff skills are all designed to benefit a sci build - they all do physical damage which is exotic damage. If you like DOT based exotic stuff that takes a while to really hit hard then go with the temporal. I've gotten much more from my Na'kuhl and I really felt like the temporal abilities just plain sucked other than rapid decay or recursive shearing which depends on your enemy lasting more than a second in battle. However, the temporal raider console is really awesome and the molecular beam is a one shot kill but it takes time to build up entropy to use it.
I have the Tadaari and it is a wicked good ship I find. I run it mainly as a science/escort hybrid running almost all torps, it does a lethal decloaking strike on any NPC's and it nimble enough to get the heck away as well.
It's relatively cheap as well now, i got mine for less than 100 mil EC.
I have the raider on one toon and the destroyer on another. They were gifts from someone who got them in lockboxes and didn't want them and wanted to give them to someone who would use them. I was very surprised by the thoughtful gesture.
As it is, I know I'm not using either to its full potential since I'm a casual player, but I like both ships.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything.
And is Rapid Decay any good? Isnt it like a Sensor Scan?
It's like attack pattern beta except it does more resistance debuff and physical DOT. But it only targets one enemy. Which is another huge weakness of the temporal abilities - most only target one enemy instead of enhancing your weapon attacks which is what APB does.
I guess its still good on large HP targets or in PvP. Could someone explain the Deconstruction Beam? At max Offense counters, what are the base damage values and what modifies it?
I strongly considered getting the Na'Khul science ship off the Lobi store at one point. The looks, the bound to character, and the reported noise factor stopped me.
But having flown the Eternal, I can't imagine using any other science vessel except when I care about the theme. The thing is a science beast, bar none.
I'm quite sure that the Ouroboros will end up supplanting my BoP's and light warbirds in the same way.
Would like to see some more visual/skin choices on all the 31st century ships, though.
I am still on the fence...I still feel like the 30 power bonus from OSS would outclass the toys on the Ouroboros. Even averaged out over the cooldown, its +5 weapons power which is 10% more damage. If you assume most battles are done within 20 seconds, so the effective boost is more like 15 which is 30% more damage. In PvP a OSS2 boosted BO3 would be 60% stronger. If I go with the Tadaari, then I will get the Daemosh too for the 10% cooldown reduction, 15% shield bonus, and 15% CrtD. That means space shotgun + escape decoy.
And the Temporal BOFF powers seem unimpressive according to you guys and other threads. the Intel abilities still seem the best after all this time.
I dont have any other any other characters that I play, so the cross faction aspect is moot. I dont always play with sound, so the Tadaari engine noise wont bother me. I do hate the Na'Kuhl bridges....but its not like the 31st century ships have anything "new." Neither is customize-able either.

The deconstruction beam delivers a huge amount of physical DOT straight to the hull. I have killed people with it in pvp with a single shot. It's exotic damage, so it's modified by particle generator skill. I have zero points in particle gen and mine still managed to kill my opponent with one shot.

I have yet to see a ship hit with that beam in PvE that doesn't go boom shortly thereafter, unless it's one of those 'shoot to disable' things. Not even using any other Temporal abilities, just building up the counters.
I'm going to have to go looking for something tougher and see what happens. Like a Borg Tactical Cube or something.

I splurged and bought a Daemosh and it's hands down the best ship I've ever flown. I've been more successful in this ship than anything else in the game, highest parses, fastest runs, most fun.
It'll be a hard choice to move to something else on my main as it's just got everything I want from a science vessel. I love the looks too, and the sound doesn't annoy me either, can't hear it over the sound of exploding enemies anyway!.
Ok...after watching STOunrefined's T6 AoY videos I can see how powerful MDB is. Is it tied to Aux? At 6 counters there were variation in damage outputs. But at 50-60 Aux it seems to be around 10k per tick. At 100+ aux it should be near 20k per tick. This is in line with another comment on Reddit I saw where the person claimed to deal 10% damage to the unimatrix which has about a million health.

They are probably using the trait that gives bonus damage based on aux power level.

OSS is indispensable for a tac. I have two copies on all my builds. OSS2 gives you +40 power and OSS3 gives +50. It's even better than Red Matter Capacitor IMO due to the much lower cooldown. The difference is very noticeable on any ship that doesn't have it, from DPS to shield regen to engine speed. DOT is weak sauce and my best tac build has no room for it. Although the Tadaari does come with that plasma boosting console which lends itself to DOT. I've got an AP dual cannon build on mine - when I tried a variation of it on the Temporal raider it was far less potent.
