    Nice to know the Kumari Wing Cannons can now be upgraded, but there is still no info if the Dyson Destroyer vessel's Proton cannons can or will ever be upgradeable. That was one of the things that was asked for since the upgrade system was even announced.

    As for the OUTRAGEOUS Dil prices on the costumes, they can just keep them. If they were 250-800 lobi, then nobody would have cared, but a MILLION OR MORE Dilithium?!?! That is just plain STUPID.

    That would make those outfits the MOST EXPENSIVE ITEM IN STO. They are character bound as well. Lifetime subscriptions are $200-$300 depending if there is a sale. But everything with that is ACCOUNT-WIDE.

    2m dil at current prices would currently buy just shy of 5K zen, which equals 50$...10x the price of current c-store uniforms, certainly, but the most expensive item is still an LTS, and this doesn't come close​​

    As someone who collects costumes, I was initially excited to see the Release Notes about new uniforms, but if the previously posted pic of the prices is true, then I too have to log a complaint. Those prices are insanely too much for single-character unlocks. Please consider either A) lowing the prices by a factor of 10 (ie MACO being 200k instead of 2M) and/or B) make the purchases account-wide unlocks.

    Exclusive is diplomatic way of describing uniforms at such a cost. There are some nice fixes and adds in the patch I will be able to enjoy though. Thanks for those.

    I agree. I was playing with the thought of putting my temporal character in a movie era costume and ship theme, then I read those uniform actually are in the game now but for a single character unlock for 1 million dil each? Costumes, especially faction ones, belong in the c-store, that's what this thing is for. Those are around 40-50 real life currencies for a single character unlock costume. That's a really bad show right here, Cryptic.

    I understand you want to get dil out of the system, but why not make a TOS fleet asset, a 23c outpost you get via a time portal where 23c items are crafted/sold.​​

    +1 to this...I sincerly though after coming back to STO I'd sub right away, but after seeing the issue it has it kinda killed the will to even do micro transactions in the game..I am a trekie since I was a kid but even that wont override my common sense of subbing to things that are not being fixed especially the major one of the server issues which support convinently blames the players ISP for when it is not..

    Well said. If anyone should feel insulted, it's the players. A 1-2Mil dil sink for a single character unlock is a slap in the face and a great way to further alienate players. As if we weren't fed up enough already. (Pun intended.)

    Thanks for finally aknowledging the problem with Dilithium Exchange pricing.

    Can't thank you for trying to solve it, wheter it works out or not, in such a shameful way.


    I respect your work and will not insult anybody, but let me call it a shame, becuase it is.

    A costume 10 times the price per character? You must be desperate.


    I knew it was bad when you let people top their personal starbase before new holdings come out. Both should never have happened.

    Fleet system should not have being abused first AND the main element should have been sustained with constant expenses on secondary ones and new projects for the main so that it WOULD NEVER BE FINISHED.

    Adding customization of interior and exterior like all important online games have for their housing systems etc etc.


    THAT was the dilithium sink the game needed and granted players something worth out of their time and money that you developed for,

    and it worked until you decided to pull the plug because the profit margin may have not been higher than 90% anymore and make it another abandoned system,
    the crown jewel of the game systems ever to be abandoned (anyone said DOFFing?).


    Let alone allowing everyone and his dog have a fleet and a starbase and an embassy and a mine and stations etc on his own.


    I knew it was bad and it would end up this way,

    with dilithium sinking gone RIP in this game a bit after being introduced and never to be replaced because nothing can compare,


    and you waiting for tomorrow to think a solution and tomorrow and tomorrow forever

    until you were so desperate to do something like this.


    Something that may not work and if it even works it comes at the price of scamming your clients,

    gaining their rightful rage,

    and have to repeat a few time later

    again and again

    because IT'S NOT THE SOLUTION.


    Want a solution?

    Bring back Fleet system to life, Add customization to Fleet system planets, starbase exterior and interior, with new Vulcan and Cardassian designs, and make it a never ending task like getting new gear.

    Make it a real Guild Housing system, and not a faint copy abandoned in space... then start to think about the Personal one and balance the prices.


    OR keep enraging your playerbase until it ragequits, at least from transactions, which is what matters.

In those games i mentioned, NOT ONCE have I been kicked from the server except for unscheduled server maintenance. So the automated responses for getting DC'd that say check your ISP needs to stop, and the company needs to either get better servers or more of them.

    This is what I meant, things like this add to the pile of problems alienating your customers...

    You should have choiced a more systematic approach to solve the dilithium exchange pricing... not the "smart" way.

    There's no shortcut but to introduce dilithium sinks that are consistent in the value-cost relation, like Housings... not this.


    Don't frak your customers or the customers will frak you and they always have the last word.

    So I went to check on Tribble to get those free packs of dil for testing. But they only reward 10,000 at the time and the boxes don't stack. Not even gonna bother to check if the outfits are even good quality on close-up or mix well with other costume pieces.

    Also, bind on pickup so they can't even be sold on the exchange.

    To whoever decided the prices, go home, lock yourself into your room and think of what you did, you meanie.

    It's not the ISP, it's not a routing issue. It is entirely something in Cryptic's coding or in their server system (be it software or hardware) that is faulty, causing random server issues and disconnects. That they keep ignoring this problem and blaming it on the players is unacceptable. It's that kind of poor customer care that makes me stop spending money on the game. Why waste money on a shotty product, right?

    The "Dil" prices must be a typo, theres no logic in pricing a single uniform piece that much.

    As for the bug fixes, I believe that only the bugs that directly effect the Dev's and other employees of the game, get priority. We are not as important as customers as they are as employess/players. There are performance issues that haven't been addressed yet, like the temporal probe in "Treasure Trading Station", you open and unlock it and before you leave it resets and you have to run back and "investicate" it again to get credit for it. I believe in the Lackey System during the "Hide and Seek" mission that the sound is completely messed up. The items that are supposed to be unlocked, aren't unlocked. These are just a few examples that potential costumers would be turned off by and should be given priority to, not some ship that someone isn't even going to see until T6.

    As for making suggestions..some have good ideas to make the game better and more enjoyable and more customizable, but in order to do those changes they would need to see their customer base increase, and their customer base won't increase as long as they continue having "technical" issues. See the vicious circle? I was this close to jumping on that Life membership sale until the bug issues became so prevalent. That was 2 fixes ago and still the known issues list hasn't changed or it's been shortened with no mention of the fix. Now I'm just a COO/Vice President of a Non-Profit Organization so I may not be qualified to make this observation, but it seems a little risky to invest my money into something that is a great product on the surface but shakey underneath.

    Well in one of the network threads it was mentioned that it could be a server throttling thing that cryptic is intentionally doing for god knows what reason..Cause after seeing that I asked a couple of networking friends at CM and they said if there is nothing wrong with the end users ISP and the end user can play anything else just fine then the only time that such a thing happens is when the host server (CRYPTIC) throttles the server bandwidth and screws everyone on its player base..Also I then brought up the thing about on-demand patching and I got nothing but a laugh because they said that also is a major hog of resources in game and its better to patch then get in game..I can go on about the discussion but it would be too long..

    SO IF ANYONE FROM CRYPTIC IS REALLYREADING THESE THREADS AND NOT SELECTIVELY READING IT PLEASe KINDLY ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM IS ON CRYPTICS SERVERS AND NOT OUR ISP'S..IT WOULD BE APPRECIATED IF THIS SPECIFIC PROBLEM WAS ACKNOWLEDGED AND NOT DIVERTED AND PUT BACK ON THE PLAYERS ISP"S..

    You could just turn on demand patching off. That is an option, I have had it off for years now and never get bothered by it.
