Considering the long-time desire of STO fans for a T6 Constitution class vessel, and the appeal of the new-movie Enterprise, I'd like to suggest to the game makers that this be one ship they move from lockbox to Z-store so more players can buy it.

I don't need a long list of replies saying it'll never happen, it's just a suggestion for their perusal on this one ship. Not even discussing the Vengeance (Intel ship from the Kelvin Timeline), or any of the other lockbox ships in the past. Just this one.

I remember seeing something on another thread that basically said CBS allowed the starship in the game but on the condition it could not be directly sold to players.

I vote for the ships to be in Z Store too !
cause if you think about how much your spending on keys and also getting the lockboxs from crystals.
sooner or later your new ship you may or may not get from the lockboxes will cost you over $500. usd or even over $1000.usd !!
and your crystals will all be gone too.
you will have to do quest or whatever to gather more crystals.
I am sayings this cause so far I spent about $100. usd on it for keys !
and the most I got from it was ship weapons and Officers.
and I seen a few youtube videos about this and the people who did the videos showed they had over 1000 Keys and over 1000 lockboxes.
that shows they must of spent over $1000. usd for all those keys and stuff.
thats pretty bad for spending money on a FTP MMO game !
once I got to $100. usd I cut my self off.
this to addicting to wanting to have a KT Enterprise ship or that huge battle cruiser !
and sorry to say spending $100. usd or even $1000.usd is way to much for a digital Star Ship.
and half these other items we get from the lockboxes is your ship roster can only handle so many officers.
and the weapons your getting dupes from it too, same weapon type every time almost.,
some weapons gives off more dps or normal damage but not to high.
and I don't see anything from the lockboxes for shields or anything.

Thing is.. there are people out there that bought dozens, maybe even hundreds of keys to win this ship.

How fair is it to them if they spent a ton on keys to win the ship and then Cryptic just goes and puts it in the C-Store as an account unlock for 3k Zen?

I don't see any way that Cryptic is going to do this.

Besides, KT Enterprise is actually pretty cheap on the Exchange.

Also keep in mind that when it arrives in the infinity lockbox its price will tank on the Exchange. It's pretty easy to make a couple hundred million EC if you put your mind to it, so it isn't entirely necessary IMO to put it in the Z-store.

There are too many fluctuations in the dilithium exchange to reliably predict that price in order to buy the ship via the EC exchange. Putting the ship in the Z-store eliminates the randomness both in the case of opening lockbox, and the unpredictability of the different exchange prices (selling of keys, dilithium trading for zen on the keys end if you go that route). Granted, you could buy zen for key selling--but that's a LOT of key as was mentioned earlier in this thread. For those that already have done that, it was their choice--and all the more reason this particular ship should be the one exception.

Again...just this ship. I'm not trying to undo all lockbox ships. CBS won't allow the original/early movie Constitution as a T6 ship, but this one is. So as a favor to the fans, I think it's worth making this one change.

JJprise? Meh. If we could use the TMP or TOS models/skins on it, it'd be an instabuy for me.

Firstly they would have to up-scale those parts, then once that's done, they'll have to redetail all the parts. It won't be cheap!

I would really love it if there was a T6 version of the Cruiser (aka TMP era Enterprise). I mean the Klingons get a T6 Bird of Prey, the Excelsior has a T5 variant - why not give the refit-Constitution a top-tier version?
