Fix your stupid AFK penalty detection!

This is the second time that I can remember that I have received the two hour afk penalty when not afk!

I just got it leaving Crystalline Catastrophe. You really need to fix this queue too. Why is it that every time I go into this there are already people 30 km away shooting things when many other queues have a timer to start on them when arriving???
This is also one hell of a lag fest as well. I have GTX 960 and AMD FX-6300 6-core CPU. This game is several years old. I shouldn't have to put my sliders on gfx down to one notch and STILL have a slide show!

In any case, I put out my Vorgon drones, tried to shoot stuff, got my marks rewarded (if I was AFK why did you reward me?), left, wanted to join another queue, and saw the dreaded TWO FREAKING HOURS of wait time! I don't have that kind of time to WAIT!

    Yeah, just had the same thing. I am not sure if other queus have the problem, but for CC i think it is because you can get put into an instance that is nearly finished. I got in with the CE at around 15%, so there is no way to do much in the last bit and so the AFK detection thins you have been AFK, at least i think that is what happens. extremely annoying and you can't do anything about it.

    Two hours is stupid.
    I have heard of 10/15 min penalties, but not TWO HOURS.

    honestly you shouldn't be experiancing such crippling performance issues with that kind of setup...there is probably something wrong on your side. I have a similar setup and I can play the game on maximum without experiancing any of your performance issues. How is your connection? Is it only in STO that you have these performance issues?

    I have the same problem, despite having a gtx 970 and an AMD-FX6350 I get very poor fps. In CCA I get below 5fps. In much more modern games I have no problem getting over 60 fps with high graphic settings.

    A few days ago I joined another one already in progress.
    I never got to fire a shot. I had to travel 40km and by the time I got there since it was ALREADY IN PROGRESS, it was destroyed before I got in range.

    This queue really is stupid.

    Whilst I don't have too much of an issue, CCA does need to be redesigned. Getting so many marks for a 3-5 minute fight is part of the reason the other queues don't get played.

    With regards to the AKF penalty, I've only ever had it once where the same thing happened, but however, I totally despise people who do intentionally AFK and I don't think two hours is enough of a deterrent because they still get the rewards and there is no AFK penalty in special Queue events such as the Mirror Invasion and The Breach. There should be a system auto-kick. Many, many other games have this, I don't see why this doesn't especially as the queues rely on TEAMWORK!

    It just happened again!!!!!

    This time in The Cure Found, Advanced.

    I did get into the fight very slightly relatively late as I was looking to change a resist plating. Normally I have plenty of time to do this at the start of any queue, but a person or more had so much dps this was over in a minute.

    I did manage to get a shot off but what ever I shot at exploded before connecting.

    I commented at the end, "that was too easy".

    After arriving at my previous location, I received a tell saying that they were sorry it was their fault.

    I looked at my pve list and saw this time it was TWO FREAKING HOURS AFK PENALTY!!!!


    TWO HOURS!!! WHY??!!

    (circular inclined ridges) your stupid mechanics! You allow people that can pretty much solo this it seems to ruin the game for others!

    There is no more point in me playing tonight! This is ALL I WANTED TO DO TONIGHT!
