23rd Century Effects

I would love the option to *buy* either via Lobi or Zen the ability for my existing characters to use 23rd century effects, e.g. for beam up, scanning etc...ideally this would be a switch (e.g. on or off) , but I would be OK with a one time switch as well.

I agree with your platform and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

As a TOS Veteran I think our whole fleet would buy this. Just like for the first time ever we had all active members buy keys and open lockboxes and most of us bought the Temporal Agents packs. So, @borticuscryptic or @crypticspartan#0627 is this possible?

So...my AoY player, now in the current timeline, still uses the 23rd c beam out animations, tricorder and some of the early boff skills.

Am I missing something, does this change at some point?

No, it doesn't. We just wabt the 23rd c effects for our other characters that are not AoY made ones.

I agree as well. I would love those effects on my old characters that are set up as TOS. I'm more than willing to pay for it.

Yeah, there was a guy that pm'ed me at SFA when I was on my AOY character. He was on his older Fed character, of course, and asked me what options does he have to hit so he could have the TOS visual and aural effects. I told him that AFAIK, it was only for AOY characters. His character name was along the lines of James T Kirk so I imagined he was crying where ever he was, having no access to those effects.

I agree with the OP. I would also love to see the 23rd century map available outside the 23rd century tutorial.

I'm the opposite, I want the ability to switch my AOY toon to Fed25 effects once I get to the present. The classic FX are cool, but to me they clash with the modern ships and setting.

Honestly given the jump from tthe 23rd Century to 25th I expected thing to follow as per the current timeline namely 25th..The 23rd effects in the 25th is not a win win..Its weird because, because, just watch the movies from 1-10..
But if there is an option to switch effects it'd all be good..
