I just ran through Kuvah'Magh a second time looking for the temporal probe and still can't find it, having searched all over every map ground and space using scan. The 30 minute cooldown on the mission is aggravating.
Had the same problem with Kuvah'Magh, but it's random placement sadly.
Currently stuck on operation gamma. Went through the entire mission expecting it to be in an obvious place. When I couldn't find it in each of the three Idran system maps I used "Scan Area", only to now realize it doesn't detect temporal probes.
It's not just random, it's actually bugged. Sometimes the probe doesn't appear at all on the map, and sometimes the mission objective doesn't trigger, sometimes etcetera etcetera.
Yeah all of this temporal probe buggery is just not worth it. I'm just going to skip this temporal agent nonsense entirely. It's just not worth the headaches and hassles.
So, Shadow Play. I love that every hint online is "You can't miss it!"...and there's not even a single hint of a damn TP there. It's a space map, a huge one, the last one (meaning if I give up I have to replay the entire loooooong mission again and again and again and again until the goddamn thing spawns properly) and no sign of the damn thing anywhere. Nowhere near the actual mission play area. Nowhere behind the planet. Nowhere near any landmark doodad objects anywhere. Just nothing.
Cryptic? You may have thought you made this mini-game "fun" by removing scanning function for the TP's and randomizing where they end up. You didn't. Instead you created something really, really, really, really frustrating.

Yep. Just spent 20 minutes flying around the map trying to find it until I gave up. The designers at Cryptic need to have their heads examined.
Its under the battle itself, so easy to miss, but its there, soon as i flown into the massive battle on shadow play it says detecting it, so check there.

Same here, had 3 fleet mates teamed up to play, and the missions just separate us randomly, neither of us could find it and we did find a screen shot of where it may spawn, but after 45 mins of doing a grid search we gave up. Maybe we'll get lucky and cryptic will allow the sensor scan to you know, detect stuff.
-Even found the 3 shuttle bridges in the lower left of the screen.
in operation gamma i found it in second try just because i wasn't looking its on straight line between last objective(you know stealing parts from derelicts or scanning anomalies or defense satelites) and ferengi and no it wasnt there from start and i have one screen shot to prove it
