When they make a Renegades universe game I will be first in line for testing!
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, it's all ancient history. Then - before you can blink an eye - suddenly it threatens to start all over again."
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
These sort of things don't belong imo. It almost got a 5.0/10 on IMDB at least. almost. I tried watching it, thought it was pretty bad but good for a fan film.
All fanfilm properties are currently toxic to official licensed stuff (like STO). Best not.
So how did JJTrek make it in then?
Gecko said what happened with the Kelvin Universe on Tribbles in Ecstacy. JJ didn't want any of his stuff in STO. Now that he's no longer helming things Cryptic called Bad Robot and Paramount and was like 'You guys have a new movie coming up, it's the 50th anniversary, can we tie some of your stuff in?' Justin Lin, the director for Beyond said 'Sure!' and there you have it.

Two posts from the same poster, about very similar ideas with a potential for causing strife...
Because, it's not only licensed, silly... IT'S CANON!!!!
Can't you see it's real?
It's not canon. It's an alternate timeline. That doesn't make it canon.
But I don't think a person with the Abrams-class cruiser as his signature picture would understand that...
Agreed!
