Take a stand for fair market value, boycott the DIL exchange!!!
Actually the dil/zen exchange is the literal representation of both currencies fair market value.

When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

Anyone who thinks the Dil exchange is player driven is naive of the realities of economics and the world.

I also enjoy shouting this at traffic late at night.

No they aren't. You don't know what you're talking about.

He's absolutely correct. Cryptic controls the market more than the Chinese government controlled their markets 10 years ago. They release infinity box, market dances to their instruction. They release new lockbox, offer sale, etc etc etc.. There are a couple days here and there in between events, offers, sales, promotions, increased supply of dil, new ships etc etc etc where you might say it is a 'free market,' but otherwise no.

All those praising free market and fair market value must enjoy living in Bernie Sanders' wet dream of government controlled socialism.

That's not 'controlling the market'. That's influencing it by releasing products that no one forces anyone to buy, at best. And one could therefore argue that every company does the same thing by having an independent release schedule.

If we were talking about basic needs here, you might have a point. Right now, it's simply supply and demand at work. The fact that demand is determined by the availability of new products like a lock box, does not change anything about the fact that it is the players who are excercising that demand.

For comparison: it would be the same thing with, say, mobile phone companies. If a company were flooding the market with much wanted cell phones, then that still doesn't mean that the company in case is 'controlling the market' (at least not in the sense that it has absolute control or anything). Nor is it controlling the price of the dollar by simply adding products for their customers to spend them on.

It's all still free will at work and customers choosing to buy something. Just like with the dilithium market.

Wait, what? There is some sort of vast right wing conspiracy which is controlling the Dil Exchange?
Pics and documented evidence would be nice. People not trying to always be the victim would be refreshing as well.
Too much to ask, I know.

However, in line with your theory about how the Dil Exchange works, I present the following
    - Elvis did not die, he just went back to his home planet.
    - Jim Morrison is not dead either. He owns a used car lot in Omaha.
    - Bigfoot was successfully covered up by the CIA, the NSA, and Major League Baseball.
    - Pro wrestling is fake. The matches are rigged.
    - Later on in this thread, I'm going to link to a YouTube video of my vacation in Atlantis.
    - UFOs are real. Little green men own cattle ranches in Area 51 in New Mexico.
    - The organization known as Men In Black exists as well. How else does one explain Brexit?

Yes, I'm boycotting the exchange till it reaches 500. Anything under 500 is ridiculous and unreasonable.

I don't think boycotting the Exchange is a good thing. As it will make the ones who is buying Zen with $ and trying to turn it into Dil will enjoy. And perhaps drive a many away.

There is times I thought of buying Zen and throwing in on the market. That way some person with lots of Dil can help fuel my upgrades. But then again, I'm about done with upgrades on my characters.

I know, right? I'm thinking the 41 people putting real money up can organize WAY more easily that the 30,000 player offering up their 'hard earned' pink mud-coin.

I also wonder how many Dil-sellers are doing the ARC quests...? Because PWE throwing zeni at you for booting up some of their other games seems like exactly what some folks need to feed their appetite for zeni.

Still hoping for a new and attractive Dil sink even as a zeni seller. I'd like to be more than just stockpiling waiting for it to happen. Come on Cryptic, PLEASE let me propagate ship traits between my captains by spending Dil! I'll only ever have one Annorax, but I'd love to have the Time to Kill trait on 3-4 captains...

in celebration of my 666. post ,let's bring the zen to 500 again

The Naysayers doesn't want you to know the truth, my young friends, but you deserve to know the Zen'Hadil are smarter, they're faster, and they're stronger than we are!

    buy zen 469 - 479 / 4.690.000d = 10.000z

    sell zen 10.000z x 494 = 4.940.000d = 250.000d profit

We are facing an enemy that is consumed and committed to our total destruction. An enemy that demands to be fought, and we will fight, but i say to you our greatest challenge is not the might of the Naysayers, the greatest challenge laying before us is to do what must be done without undoing the dream of the Zen. For my self, I have but one fear. Destroying the dream of the Zen compared to such a loss. I DO NOT FEAR THE NAYSAYERS...

I do the Arc quests every morning. Getting close to earning my first 500 zen
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

I can tell you exactly where it's going to stop: 500 Dil pr Zen.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

You can call it sad if you like, that's your opinion. Doesn't bother me a bit. Since I sign into Arc every morning anyway, doing the quests is no more difficult or time-consuming than a few clicks. *Shrug* It's a way to get zen that isn't difficult or costs cash that I don't have. And it's much better than paying what the dil exchange is demanding.

In celebration to my 666th post in an IT forum many years ago (that I now moderate), I created a thread to post the lyrics from The Number Of The Beast.
