Is there a new bridge that will come with the 31st century ships?

omegasprimeomegasprime Member Posts: 289 Arc User
I just want to know if the 31st century ships will be getting a new bridge or will they be reusing the on that came with the the lockbox version? I would hope for new more futuristic version.

I would like them to have a new unique bridge, but if they have the lockbox timeship bridge, I'll be fine with it.

I dont give a damn until they start letting us use these bridges on normal, desirable, ships.

He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.

To be fair, you may not find them desirable but I daresay that some players will love the ships that you don't find desirable.

you're missing the point. Cryptic could be making easy money by copy pasting these unique bridges into C store bridge packs.

Here's the thing though... Why would your 25th century starship have a 31st century bridge with 31st century technology? Or why would your starfleet ship have a Breen bridge, or Tholian bridge, etc? I'm all for more interior options with more stuff to do inside your ship, but it has to make sense.

Cryptic has learned that generally - "Bridge Packs" don't sell well enough to the general playerbase to make them separate purchases on the C-Store any longer (they used to have them there). They have also found that tying a certain Bridge to a certain ship will help the sell through of said ship; so that's the route they've taken.

I think the answer is 'No'. http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/10046953-star-trek-online:-31st-century-ship-stats

No mention of a unique bridge for the 31st century ships. I'm assuming they will use faction specific bridges. For Romulans it means they get the only Romulan bridge/interior they have, or only bridges of your allied faction.

However, for the 26th century Federation only ships: http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/10033953
Each of the above starships also comes with a new 26th Century Starship Bridge.
It's at the bottom of the blog. I wonder if it has the standard Fed interior hooked up, or if it's just another single unique bridge.

    No. No. Just no.

That argument no longer works for me. I started playing right before LOR. I have never seen individual bridge/ interiors (TOS, Belfast and Intrepid) for sale in the store. Like wise I have never been told why they will not sell interiors as a stand alone instead of just as part of a bundle.

It has been repeated that we are NOT asking for new interiors. We only want what is already in the game. Yet the response is always the same.

    Interiors don't sell.

And from what I have seen, Cryptic goes out of their way to make it true.
"The soldier above all others prays for peace, for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war."
Douglas MacArthur - Quote on the dedication plaque of the U.S.S. Ranger NCC-97332-A Armitage class Fleet Heavy Strike Wing Escort.

I hope someone from Cryptic will grace us with the answer. I do hope for a new bridge only because the Wells bridge looks too 24th century in my opinion.

Seems kinda weird for the 26th century ones to have one and not the 31st century ones.

They're C-Store ships. So I highly doubt it. Which means I may not even get one. :( It's kinda silly all my other Temporal vessels will have nice bridges, and these won't.

I'm actually rather hoping that I'll be able to use my Wells-class starship bridge on the 31st century ones. Don't think for a second that it will be possible, but I can dream.

^^ This! These new ships needs to be able to load the bridges of their Temporal counterparts (if you own them). Like I said, I'm not gonna buy any of them if they don't. To me that would feel like such a degradation -- compared to the other Temporal ships -- that I would just pass on these.

Still would like some PWE/Cryptic word on the status of the bridges for these 31th century ships, please.
