Vice Admiral Nakari - ESD, Brig

Nakari noticed Captain Seifer enter the brig, as he had arrived just a few minutes ago. Nakari walked over to Chekov.

    "So what about it?"

    Winning.
It's what I do. It's what I just did. It's what I'm about to do again. It's being undisputed emperor of an empire that cannot be disproved as the most powerful intergalactic empire in the entire universe; I always win, and everything I've won will definitely be won again... by me. It's my signature move, and thus, it's my signature. Problem, Sonic? Yeah, I mean you, Sonic, because you're being beat up, despite your being super. You can't even hit Shadow back, can you? Nope, he's too strong for you. Of course, I'm not Shadow, I'm the Super Emerald fueled fox that's pulling the strings; trust me, the fight would only be a few frames long if I were in it personally. Oh, and here's something for all you guys thinking you can win Last Post Wins 3.0; trust me, I'll be around a long while after the sun has already consumed the Earth while I sit out with the forum servers on Titan. Yes, I mean Titan... that comparatively little moon orbiting Saturn. It's a nice little place in a version of our solar system where the sun is a lot bigger. I mean, Mars will last longer than your precious Earth, but by then, it'll be one hot planet... and I figure Saturn's moon will be about the right temperate for a super-powered warlord. Oh, and trust me, I packed a lot of rings, and I mean a lot. Trillions, in fact, so I'll never run out of rings to power my super form. Besides, if I start to run out, I can just chaos control more rings into my reach. It's quite easy, really. You should try it. Granted, you'll never have the 7 Super Emeralds that I have in my possession, nor the Master Emerald that I've got hidden away somewhere... absorbed into my body thanks to Sonic logic, but whatever. I win. Again. I'm not kidding, either. Just check Last Post Wins, and if the last post isn't mine, it soon will be. Very, very soon. You can count on it. Seriously. By the way, if you're wondering, there's a really great Super Tails sprite sheet out there... somewhere... by some guy named shadow_91. These sprites are really great. Like, really good. Quality. Just like what I like to see in a sprite sheet. Also, credit to Joe T.E., his Sonic Battle style Super Sonic sprites have a great palette for a Super Sonic being beat up by Super Shadow, who's palette is from a Super Shadow sheet of unknown origin, but it turns out they were "borrowed" from a better sheet made by a certain Domenico. Oh, and the gif is actually a custom made super version of a similar gif, of which there are only 3 or 4 copies to be found by Google, and even then, evidently of an unknown source. Yep, it's one of those things. Stuff people have made, spread around, only for it to vanish and you to be the only person who still has a copy, not even knowing where it came from... like, literally at all. Oh, and anyone notice that Shadow's little chaos snap blast thingies are red and blue now? Yeah, I changed it. Problem, fans of purple? Yeah, I know you got a problem with that one, but you can just deal with it. After all, according to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly... alright, alright, I'll spare you the entire Bee Movie script, just Google it if you want. By the way, ever wonder how your characters would've ended up if they evolved in another universe? Yeah, that. Think about it. Ok, so you probably didn't bother reading up to here, but whatever, here's a surprise for you guys over at ESD (RP) who were crazy enough to read this: Emperor Nat of the mcfreakin' Terran Empire is gonna be right all along! The universe is gonna go BOOM! *Thumbs up to the insanity*
Oh, now don't tell me you want in on all this! Well, ok. Look this that Egg Pawn hanging outside your window, pointing his laser rifle at you, waiting for my next order. He's doing his part. He helps conquer the weak-minded. He roboticizes the weak-bodied. Heck, he even helps keep the useless people from causing any trouble, but you know what? Join. Find the closest Nataran Empire roboticization center near you and join the ranks, before the ranks find you. Oh, I know, you figure it must be so satisfying to know I basically rule the world now, and you know what? It is, but do you want to know the true definition of satisfaction? Well, let me tell you a little story. One day, you see a brand new event. They're giving out boxes that give old event stuff. Your dilithium is plentiful. You buy a whole lot of Phoenix packs on your main, and open them all. You get one epic token. Then, you decide, that since you have all the Breen ships and don't give a damn about the others, you exchange it for an ultra rare, and grab yourself a Jem'Hadar Attack Ship and for the hell of it, a Voth Bulwark. You open both, leaving the Bulwark in your vast masses of starships as you jump into the bugship and deck it out, deck by deck, into the most awesome Jem'Hadar ship you can. You fly it. You enjoy it. Eventually, you get bored and leave, leaving the old Bulwark never flown... until later. Your main is long complete. Your new alt main, based off some character you pulled out of nothing just to explain away some starship being in service without the command of your dear admiral, is also complete. Mostly. Their reps and doffs are hard at work, getting you stuff. You realize the potential, and head back for your dear admiral, pull the most Voth themed build you can out of thin air, and suit up in your giant ship in the shape of you know what. You head out... and cause all sorts of havoc. Enemies scream out your name as their very life is drained away by your swarms of Aceton Assimilators. They complain to the devs of your OPness when you revive yourself from death every time you die. Do you show any form of mercy? No. After all, this isn't the United Federation of Planets, this is mother frakkin' Starfleet, where you explore strange new worlds and kick butt never kicked before. Oh, and you realize that I just wrote another speech rivaling your own signature. Cool. Oh, wait, that's just the original draft, it is part of my signature now. Oh, and yes, I am aware that I have become a Canadian Regent; one day, sooner than you'd expect, we'll suddenly decide to take over the world and declare an "alliance", and I shall become it's Regent. You know, like the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance in the mirror universe of our beloved Star Trek. Oh, who'll we be taking over with? I dunno, maybe [REDACTED], or maybe aliens from outer space. Guess you'll have to wait and find out, won't we? Until then, don't ask too many questions, or else my Breen allies on Titania might pick up on your -- [REDACTED BY BREEN CONFEDERACY FOR REASONS] Also, psst... keep an eye out for flying Tribbles! Also walls. Big, great walls, separating entire continents apart. Walls patrolled by Tribbles. Flying Tribbles. Flying Nukara Tribbles. Don't worry, it's not like they were on Venus with a herd of Tholians or anything, they just like the extreme heat and brutal weather like acid rain and hurricane force winds as the norm. Oh, and definitely keep your eye out on any two-tailed foxes, because if they ain't glowing, they're definitely an imposter. Possibly an Undine, we caught one of those once in my place once. Oh, and if you find a two-tailed fox that doesn't like the cold... most certainly ask him to say sorry. If he refuses, DESTROY HIM WITH A DOOMSDAY MACHINE, BECAUSE THERE'S NOTHING ELSE THAT WOULD BE ENOUGH AGAINST SUCH AN OVERPOWERED IMPOSTER!

tr;dr, I am winning last post wins 3.0. Thank you for your time.

T'Vix (technically an NPC...) - The Infamous Bio-cruiser #I-cant-remember-the-number, the bridge

T'Vix answered the hail, "Yes. I know. Fortunately for you, you have been located by a vessel under The Infamous' influence, rather than an opposing faction, such as the one that attacked Earth Spacedock a couple weeks ago. You will beam to my ship immediately to discuss the terms of your surrender."

Admiral Alexandra Chekov (also an NPC) - ESD, the brig (where the party is)

Jorel Quinn entered the brig after Nakari, Suvel, and Seifer.

Jonah McDaniels strode in behind Elihu's lawyer, Councillor Kranth, an Andorian. "So is everyone going to take a turn at interrogating him?" the blue man asked heatedly.

Elihu continued to "sleep"; Jade was also asleep in a chair barely two feet away.

Vice Admiral Nakari - ESD Brig

    "Yes, actually, we are."

Nakari eyed the Andorian carefully, then turned back to look at The Infamous.

"I think he knows something I need to know, and I want to know what that something is."

He turned to Admiral Chekov. "Should we wake him up and get this over with?"

    ESD, brig

"You may speak to The Infamous, but do not be surprised if you get nothing out of him," the woman answered Nakari. "I was the one who trained him how to resist interrogation."

Vice Admiral Nakari - ESD, Brig

"Don't worry, I've interrogated some very interesting people in my own time."

He walked over to The Infamous's cell, and knocked on the wall loud enough to wake up The Infamous. Nakari eyed him closely.

"Tell me anything and everything you know about the former Admiral Nat."

Suvel stood there and watched as they attempted to rouse the Infamous. He turned to Vice Admiral Nakari, "Perhaps a mind meld would tell us what we need to know? I have been exceptionally trained in the art of a retrieval meld. Almost completely non-invasive, there is a zero-point-four percent chance of mental damage to the patient."

"And open up his cell in the process? No thanks. I don't want him running off."

Suddenly enough, The Infamous found himself having been thrown into the back wall of his cell, although no one could see a source of whatever threw him into the wall in question. Nakari eyed him carefully.

"Well that's strange. Are you guys sure the artificial gravity is working in here properly?"

Annoyed, The Infamous woke up and turned to Jedden's cell to his left. "Bloody hell, man!"

    "It wasn't me," Jedden groaned.

The Infamous stood up angrily and glowered at Nakari and the others. "What. Now?"

Captain Oroku Seifer - Earth Spacedock

Seifer activated a wall holo panel and checked internal systems. "That's odd? Well, not that odd. Spacedock's been having its day lately; more than 50 people have gone missing."

"Here's that PADD you wanted," Reeve said as he entered to find everyone there. "Anyone need anything? Coffee? Tea? I'll get a tray."

As he went to a nearby replicator, Seifer tapped at the PADD and brought up an image to show. "I'm not sure what everyone's business is here, but I've been investigating Elihu's charges. When I examined Alyce's body for a second time, I found a microscopic, partially organic nanite in her blood stream, as well as evidence for a hypspray on her wrist."

"Go on, Captain Seifer," Chekov said.

Seifer faltered a little bit at her address of him. "Uh, anyway, I took an imaging scan of Alyce's tattoos, and found this design within connected to a mesh of other patterns. It's the symbol The Infamous uses on people he is claimed to own--" He addressed him for a moment-- "Appreciate the Earth-save, by the way." Then, back to his PADD, "And that's all I found."

"Tea!" said The Infamous. "Chocolate Mint please!" D'ren grinned at Seifer at the thanks and bowed his head slightly. "You're welcome, mate."

Krystal woke up. With a bit of a stretch, she got up and went over to the replicator for some water. After a moment her eyes locked on D'ren.

Suvel received a communication, "Captain Suvel, this is ESD comm control."
    "Suvel here."
"There is a man by the name of Karin Yovel here who is looking for you."
Suvel stiffened, after all these years?
He paused for a moment, "On my way."

D'ren made eye-contact with Captain Jade. Oh really? he thought to himself. Well this should be interesting...

"Bring me somethin' to drink, will ye, pet?" he asked with a wink and a smirk. "I promise not to snap yer neck like a twig."

Chekov said, "That's enough outta you. Why are you here and what happened out there with that female Q you murdered?"

"Well, she betrayed me, obviously," answered D'ren. To Seifer, he said, "And by the way, yes - ARK is one o' mine. It's a pity she's gone. She was quite the loyal slave."

The Infamous - ESD, the brig

Wow, really? This is too easy, thought D'ren, before reaching through the force field and grabbing both Nakari and Jade by the throat. "A little like this."

He yanked them both through the force field and flung them at the bulkhead behind him. They would feel a slight tingle as they passed through, but no pain. However, there might have been a tiny needle in one of D'ren's fingertips because a small prickling sensation went through Jade's neck as he clutched her.

Catching the cup before it fell to the floor and lost most of its content, D'ren finished off the water and hurled it at Quinn's head as several people drew their sidearms. That's when Jedden's eyes glowed red with the power of the Pah-Wraith in him, and he also strolled through the force field. With a wave of his hand, Jedden sent a blast of energy at everyone in the room, putting them to sleep.

"Good work, Steve," said D'ren. "Looks like you haven't outlived your usefulness after all."

Steve Jedden collapsed as the Pah-Wraith left his body and went into someone else.

D'ren groaned. "Steve, we don't have time for this!" he shouted into the ceiling. "And yes, I'm going to keep referring to you as 'Steve the Pah-Wraith'! Because it's FUNNY!"

After a second of silence, D'ren groaned and turned to Nakari and Jade, who were still awake in the cell, albeit probably a little dazed from having just come in forceful contact with a wall. "So here's the deal," he said, collecting two type II phasers from Chekov and Quinn, "I am not the man you need to be questioning. And I am not your lab rat. Stop trying to find me. Stop trying to capture me. Stop trying to make deals with me. Stop trying have me killed." He went over to the replicator and ordered some Chocolate Mint tea. After a sip, he turned to Nakari and Jade with a slight smirk. "My armada is at 20,000 ships now, and we are growing." To Jade, he said, "And yes, now you are my pet. I'll be in touch."

He vanished into thin air. If D'ren was transported, it was not like any transporter beam anyone had ever seen. If he had a personal cloaking device, it too did not resemble a transition into invisibility that anyone had ever seen before. It was not like the Jem'Hadar shroud he'd used earlier, though it would be a reasonable assumption that he did have more Jem'Hadar or Dominion technology on him since he could pass through the force field undeterred.

The Andorian Kranth awoke and rubbed his antennae. "Ugh," he groaned. "What happened?" He looked over and saw Steve Jedden still unconscious.

Captain Aeris - U.S.S. Zephyra, Bridge

"While I appreciate your restraint and that you have the ability to speak, surrender is not something we have time for. Though, I will discuss the situation with you," Aeris replied.

But before she could give the order to transport, the Zephyra was pulled out of fluidic transit by a large, disgusting green and veiny tentacle. It suctioned its end to the hull, followed by another one. The Zephyra was pulled toward a giant organic Undine biobase.

"Damn!" Aeris recognized the biobase. "It's the same one from before, only it's bigger?"

Winry got up from the floor at her console. "Well, I think we found what we were looking for."

"Prepare two environmental suits. We're going into that thing."

Captain Oroku Seifer - Earth Spacedock, Brig

Seifer and Reeve awoke, groggily. Clutching his head, the Captain noticed that D'Ren was missing from his cell. "Somehow, I knew that was going to happen."

Suddenly, the lights and power throughout Earth Spacedock began to flicker, defectively. "It's getting worse now," Reeve said, checking a report at a nearby console. "More than 100 people have been reported disappeared, and the number is increasing."

"Ugh. This is all my fault. I was so wrapped up in this case, I left a bigger situation to handle itself." He got up, and suddenly the lights went out. The Brig force fields went down. "Reeve, are you there?"

But there was no response. He was gone.

"Dammit, just my luck. I need to at least find Batou and get the systems back online." Seifer left the Brig, in the dark.

Suvel noticed the power fluctuations as he walked towards the ESD transporters.
"Suvel to Admiral Chekov. Admiral, come in, please."
    No response.
Suvel pointed at two security officers by the transporter, "Come with me."
He jogged back towards the brig. Karin will have to wait.

Krystal groaned from her spot as she recovered, rubbing her neck.
"That could have gone better..." she said as she pushed herself up to her feet and noticed where she was. IN D'ren's cell, without said person.

    "Shtako..."

After a moment, she went to check on Elihu.

Vice Admiral Nakari - ESD Brig

Nakari slowly got up, rubbing his head.

"Damnit, if I only I thought had a little faster..."

He stood up, using, on-hand holographic controls to have the U.S.S. Brock beam down a self-flying flashflight. It materialized, and with a single command, came to life and flew up alongside Nakari, pointing the light in whatever direction he was looking.

"If this kind of danger becomes the norm, I might have to tell the captain to bring out our trump card..."

He looked at Krystal, who had clearly heard him. He didn't really know if anyone else heard.

"Don't ask what it is. Temporal Prime Directive so tight, even I don't know what it is..."

    He turned to walk out.

"Anyway, I have some officers out at Starbase 144 to investigate, so I need to get going now."

Federation Reserve Armada - Starbase 144, Outside of our Timeline

Their trump card, to say the least, was impressive. Hidden away near Starbase 144, but outside of our own timeline, was a single Avenger-X class dreadnought, which had been fully automated and was currently on standby mode. With the right code from a specific frequency sent to the dreadnought's location, it would appear into normal space, and with the command codes from 5 Starfleet admirals, the vessel would fully activate and take orders from the 5 admirals in question.

The vessel was certainly small, but powerful. With an added warp-nacelle, having scrapped crew accommodations (bridge aside) in favor of additional weapons stores, extremely powerful weapons, and even temporal shielding powerful enough to resist attacks from planet-killers, the vessel was stronger than the Firestorm. It's true purpose, of course, is that it is temporal. Equipped with a temporal drive and a planet-eliminating anti-time lance weapon developed by the Krenim, the ship was extremely dangerous, hence why it had been locked away here. The creators had hoped they would never have to use the it. As it was now, no one in the 25th century even knows of the ship's existence; only select elite temporal agents from the distant future do.

T'Vix, in Vulcan form - The Infamous Bio-Cruiser, the bridge

T'Vix watched as whatever was happening happened. "We are leaving," she told her crew. "Take us back to normal space."

    They jumped to normal space.

    Elihu - ESD, brig

Eli was fully entranced in his meditation.

Jonah told Suvel, "The Infamous escaped. Nobody's surprised because it's a miracle he allowed himself to be captured at all. At least, that's what I assume from the reports I read about him..."

Kranth turned to everyone in the room. "Look, it's past midnight. Why don't we all take a break from interrogating people for a few hours, just to get some rest? Tomorrow morning is the memorial for the lost crew members of the Philadelphia. Let's at least try to have a micron of respect." He turned to leave, with Jonah McDaniels following after he cast one last worried glance at his best friend.

Vice Admiral Nakari - ESD, Brig

He heard them as he walked out. He wanted to stay for the memorial, but the pressing matters were too important. He instructed the U.S.S. Brock to inform Starbase 144 that he was going there, to finally investigate the crew from the U.S.S. Molly. He would leave now, but he realized that someone on ESD might know something.

He walked back into the brig, looking at the various officers. "Anyone here know anything about the former Admiral Nat?"

He also received a report that Starfleet had managed to recover what remained of the Nova-class starship in question, albeit heavily damaged and without her warp core. He ordered the ship be brought to Starbase 144 as well. Might as well keep everything he needed to deal with all in one place.

    Captain Nat - Starbase 144

Captain Nat was practically furious about their new assignment to Starbase 144, evidently. Sarah joined him in Starbase ops.

    "Sarah, I don't believe this!"

He threw the PADD with their assignment's details down, and looked at Sarah.

"They're making us stay here, administrating the Starbase until "further notice". Heck, I see what they're doing. They don't trust me."

He turned away, walking over to the middle of the room, towards the holographic display of the Starbase.

"Your version of Nat runs amok, and they make me run some Starbase. You? Your counterpart from my universe was with your universe's Nat and his "alliance". You, too, are stuck here, as are the rest of our crew. We don't even have a ship, do we?"

Jenn, who was standing over to the side managing various operations tasks, walked over. "Actually, they did give us the newly constructed Defiant-class U.S.S. Solaria. You know, in case we needed a starship for who knows what. Also, I've received a message stating that Vice Admiral Nakari is coming here for an "investigation". Thought you should know that."

Nat threw his hands up in the air. "Of course he is. I'll be in my quarters if anything happens."

He walked out, actually headed for the U.S.S. Solaria, which had been docked with the Starbase. He figured sitting around in the ship's bridge might calm him down a bit, since he generally preferred starship bridges over space stations.

Captain Oroku Seifer - Earth Spacedock, Operations

As Seifer made his way through the darkened main concourse, he heard one officer scream in shock at the unintended disappearance of someone near her. Entering the main ring, Seifer found Batou bringing a console online.

"This wasn't my fault," the Captain blurted in shock, but then snapped out of it and said, "I mean, report?"

Batou got up and started accessing the controls. "Well, more than half the systems are down, and we're tracking several dampening pulse feeds coming from the cargo bays. They're causing the systems failures. Oh! You wanted me to give you those PADDs on the secret anti-Undine devices?"

"Thank you," Seifer accepted the PADDs and looked at them. "Yep. Still undetectable."

The Commander brought up two holo-images. "If we could get Power Generator 3 and 4, which are near the cargo bays, back online, they could be set into their resonance-EM modes which would theoretically block these type-dampening pulses."

"It may not stop the disappearances, but at least Spacedock will have a defense." Seifer then tapped his commbadge. "To any available officers. We need Power Generator 3 and Power Generator 4 back online and set to a resonance-EM mode. Any assistance would be appreciated, and people may or may not disappear around you."

"Suvel here. I will lead a team of engineers to Power Generator Four."
He tapped his combadge, "Suvel to Sarai."
    "Paul here," came the reply.
"Transport down to my location with a team of engineers. We are going to attempt to restore power to one of the generators. Use a site-to-site transport, as the Spacedock transporters are unreliable at the moment."
    "Acknowledged. Paul out."

Krystal put a hand on Elihu's shoulder and gave him a slight squeeze.
"Hang in there," she said before letting go and heading for the door. Her frist stop was to speak with Admiral Quinn about the Philidelphia.

God I hope Quinn's got an idea on where the Phili is. I doubt D'ren's gonna work out at this rate. she thought as she made her way to Quinn's office.

    Vice Admiral Nakari

The admiral watched everyone walk out one by one, and deciding that he'd drag them out to Starbase 144 later. He had other people to investigate right now. He beamed up to the U.S.S. Brock, and headed for Starbase 144, to finally launch an investigation into the officers from the U.S.S. Molly.
