Interior backgrounds

As we all know they affect the lighting inside the map, but that's not what this list is focused on. It does mention a few things like that, but only if they're easily noticable. This is mostly tailored towards what you see if you look out a window. some of them have very interesting things to see.... Others are incredibly boring. GV and BV are very common and usually mean the backdrop in question was made for a map with no windows. the things marked with asterisks are things that might be usable for a daytime map with landscaping.

You're welcome. :) The more interesting ones were made for episodes where you can look out the windows. Such as the old Sharien's swords.

I have a folder of the images for these i find useful when choosing one. StarbaseUGC may have had it before the warp bubble devoured it. I also have a list regarding the sounds you can apply to objects and i use Kirkfat's backdrops for exterior. Saves checking them every time.

SIDE NOTE: the Bortas bridge backdrop for enclosed interiors gives you the darkest environment.

I really wish we had the BG from What lies Beneath. That one is SUPER dark.

I think he means Black Void and Grey Void. Obviously, not all backdrops were intended to be seen out a window.

Yes, that. It's the "there's nothing out there" sort of thing... literally nothing to look at. It's kinda disorienting and in-game it makes it so players can easily mistake a window for a wall.

I used abbreviations since I didn't feel like typing it out repeatedly.

BTW, would it be possible to get the What lies beneath backdrop? We just can't properly simulate that level of darkness. :p

I would love that level of dark. Like, really really.
