CPU/GPU OVERHEATING: HARD CRASH

As the title says, when I boot Tribble and play the AoY expansion, my fans almost instantly kick into overdrive. Lowering visual settings helps for a short time, but I inevitably hard crash. I'm running a G73JH stock, and DO NOT have similar issues currently on Holodeck. For reference, on Holodeck, my settings and visuals are running at mid-level (custom) and the game runs smooth as glass. Happy to answer any Dev questions about my current Computer specs if it will help.

    So it MAY NOT be an overheating issue, though this is purely anecdotal. I just booted up and started playing AoY again, and again it hard crashed. No blue screen, no kick to desktop. Just shut the whole computer down. However, previous plays had the laptop HOT in certain areas (above the CPU for example) but this time they were cool to the touch. Further, I JUST started playing. Post processing is off, settings are turned down (but not all the way), FPS set to 60.

    This has me so very worried, as I am a world class TOS fan and would hate not to be able to play the content because of constant hard crashes.

    I have a similar issue on the holodeck, it started happening with the Delta Rising expansion. Every patrol mission in the Delta Quadrant shuts down my laptop. I actually had to have a friend go into my account on their computer just to drop the mission so that I could get to play at all.....
