Abilities that affect carrier pets

So I have always loved carriers. In any game where I can command a carrier I do. But for some reason I have yet to make a pure carrier captain. I intend to remedy that, but I would love if someone could help me out a bit and give me a list of everything that has an effect on carrier pets.

As far as I'm aware, there are no bridge officer powers that directly affect pets beyond targeting them directly or catching them in AoE abilities with heals and buffs. However, there are ways around this.

The 3-piece set bonus of the Obelisk space set causes your pets to use the rank 1 variant of any Emergency Power ability you use, though you can only have that set bonus while using the Obelisk carrier itself as the console can only be equipped on it. If you didn't get to run the event when the Obelisk was being given away, you can acquire the Advanced Obelisk with its console for 800 Lobi. The remaining pieces of the set, a Matter/Anti-matter Warp Core and a 360 Antiproton Beam, can be acquired from the mission Sphere of Influence. This ship can be used by any faction.

If you have access to it, the Sarr Theln has a ship trait that causes your hull heal abilities to have a pet-only AoE effect, healing pets within 5km of the initial target for 33% of the healed amount. If you didn't run the winter event for this ship 2 years ago then this ship cannot be obtained. This ship can be used by any faction.

The Jupiter-class carrier has a ship trait that causes your use of any Intelligence bridge officer ability or Tractor Beam ability to grant your pets a single use of Torpedo: Transport Warhead every 30 seconds. Ship traits can be equipped to your Captain once the corresponding ship is mastered, however I believe the Jupiter is currently the only standard carrier that has the ability to seat an Intelligence-specialized officer, the only others I know of being limited availability ships. This ship is a standard C-Store purchase. This is a Federation-only vessel, though the ship trait may be made available to Klingon and Romulan characters in the future via Lock Box or other promotion.

The Alita-class Heavy Escort Carrier (Federation), Qa'Tel Flight Deck Raptor (Klingon), and Jhu'ael Carrier Warbird (Romulan) have a ship trait that causes your use of Beam Overload or Cannon Rapid Fire to apply that ability to your pets, not sure about the cooldown. Obviously pets must have a corresponding weapon to make use of the ability. These ships are a standard C-Store purchase.

Flight Deck Duty Officers can be assigned as your active space officers for various effects, usually determined by the mode your pets are in, so make sure you check which one(s) you're getting. You can have up to 3 Flight Deck Officers active, regardless of effect. Potential effects are:
    - Reduce hangar recharge time
    - Increase carrier defense while pets are in Recall mode
    - Increase pet accuracy while pets are in Intercept mode
    - Increase pet damage while pets are in Escort mode
    - Chance to deploy double Boarding Party shuttles on use of that ability
A Very Rare Flight Deck Officer with the Intercept bonus can be acquired by completing the Caitian Diaspora Duty Officer mission line (Federation) or Unforgiven of Ferasa Duty Officer mission line (Klingon). Completing these mission lines also unlocks a repeatable Duty Officer mission that can award you with various additional Flight Deck Officers.

The Tier 5 Tactical skill branch Coordination Protocols directly impacts your carrier pets.

After spending at least 5 points in Tactical skills overall you can choose between 2 passive effects, one impacting your threat generation and the other impacting your hangar pet damage output.

After spending at least 5 points in Engineering skills overall you can choose between 2 passive effects, one impacting your pet health and the other doubling the duration of batteries and similar effects.

Many, but not all, carriers T5U and above have a ship talent that improves hangar cooldowns and pet XP gain. Exceptions include the Federation Multi-Mission Science Vessels, Romulan Scimitar variants, and all Command Battlecruiser variants.

The Personal Trait Wing Commander halves the time it takes for your carrier pets to level up. This trait is available from the Elachi Lock Box, and may be found on the Exchange.

The Scramble Fighters Personal Trait causes your activations of your hangar "powers" to heal all active pets for 50% and grant them a 5 second damage invulnerability and damage boost. This applies even if your activation doesn't launch any new fighters. The Trait is available from the Delta Alliance Duty Officer Pack and may be found on the Exchange. I suspect the Duty Officer Pack will be discontinued in favor of a new pack when the new expansion launches, which could raise the price on the Exchange.

As an inverse to many of the above, the Xindi-Insectoid Olaen Heavy Escort Carrier ship trait actually benefits the carrier the more pets (and other allies) it has active and within range. This is a Lock Box ship, so you may be able to find it on the Exchange.

The Tier 4 Pilot specialization ability Danger Zone/Wingman benefits the carrier based on the number of enemies, pets, and other allies within very close range of the carrier, stacking to a maximum of 10. This would require that Pilot is set as your primary specialization.

High auxiliary power will shorten your hangar cooldowns, although depending on how often your pets are destroyed it may not be absolutely crucial to maintain high power. If the system is knocked offline by either special attacks or by being drained to 0 power your hangars will be disabled, though your current pets will remain active.

Might be more, still trying to search around.

It's not a DOFF power, rather it's a Starship Trait called Co-ordinated Assault or something similar

Specifically, you aquire the trait from the Heavy Escort Carrier (T6) Flight Deck Raptor or the Jhu'ael Tactical Carrier Warbird from attaining Mastery V

ep2aux or higher Aux power quite important to carriers

f you are on a2b type of build you need to be extremly careful with the pet
(extrem) low on auxpower can close down your hangarbay and you can not lauch any new pets into the battle.
( you can do that sometime, if you have your standard pets on permanent recall, and using the pussycat doff to gain 10% defence bonus, while using aux2battery+technicians to reduce bof CD. )

high aux/ep2aux + the 4th rep trait from nukura + a couple pussycat doff (from doffassignments)
these are the most basic things you can do without spending
if you still like flying around in a (pure) carrier
then you can start farming more expensive (starship)traits and other stuffs.

If you are a serious pure carrier captain
you need to start saving money
you need to buy Scramble Fighter trait.
Or your pets die like flies in most elite combat by NPC faw and potatospread.

Been a carrier captain since F2p untill DR
Carrier was cheap and effective in any combat situation.
However Craptic nerfed the pet combat effective between level 50 ~level 60
so at level 60 your pets are not level 60 but level 57 or something
Geko mentioned it in a Priority One interview last year
I have no money for Scramble Fighters and other fancy pants.
Now I am FAW cruisers with 50% donated weapons from friend :D

If you want Scramble fighter on more than one toon
    You must be riche!!!!
    :D

If you can afford it then scramble fightees trait is awesome, If you can afford it I would go for a carrier than can launch frigates or heavy fighters, they arebt as squishy and from my experience tend to deal more damage and as there are only 4 frigates, easier to manage

There is also a Genetic Resequencer called "Eyes of the Swarm", available in Xindi Terrestrial lock boxes; this trait affects carrier pets' accuracy, IIRC. I haven't used it myself, yet.

Also, most things that effect team mates or allies also effect pets. The JHDC's console basically gives everyone on your team a low-end version of Attack Pattern: Omega, which includes your pets (only fit-able on Jem'Hadar ships).

Edit: It looks like most team/ally effecting things that don't specifically call out as effecting pets no longer do so. It may have been changed for server performance reasons.
