    • Added ambient audio to several rooms in the ground map.
    • Resolved an issue where there were some duplicate costumes on the ground map.
    • Resolved an issue where team members could get stuck in the Turbolift on the Engineering level.

    • Resolved an issue where only the first player on a team to interact with the equipment crate got the contents.
    • Updated background images to contact windows.
  • Return to Babel:
    • Resolved an issue where team members could get stuck in the Turbolift.
    • Resolved an issue where cutscenes were not shared to all team members.

Known Issues:

Keep an eye out for Redshirt Patch Notes, if you’d like to help try them out before they make it to Holodeck.

So much for testing this before it goes to Holodeck.

    Hello All,

I was having the bad patch earlier as well. But I did get around it by:
    • Cancelling the Patch.
    • Closing out the Launcher.
    • Reopen the Launcher, let Holodeck finish its patch. Check force Verify
    • After Checking Force Verify, change over to Tribble.
    • Cancel the Force verify, remove the option. Close, and repatch, and got the correct patch.
Please note that today when I reloaded the launcher, I wasn't stuck in the old patch loop, and was pulling down the new 1012MB Patch. Hopefully the issue has been resolved. Will report more when the patch is done downloading.

    Kind Regards,

They are on Tribble to be tested before it goes to Holodeck. They will also be on Redshirt to test before they go to Holodeck.

Some dev went on reddit (Which I hate using because the moderators are way too ban trigger happy) and said anything that goes into Redshirt just goes straight into the next Holodeck patch. If that is true then we'll probably just have a couple of days of Redshirt testing before it gets into Holodeck. Can't you lock out stuff from going into Holodeck in Redshirt just like you do with Tribble all the time?

Just a general bit of commentary here, but, the tos portion of the new faction seems a bit short. Just 6 missions and we get booted to the 25th century? It's barely enough time to familiarize ourselves with the tos era before we get thrust into the game proper, I hope Daniels will be providing some more missions along the way.

this patch seems pretty good, no obvious bugs i can find, mostly needing a balance pass in space combat and a cutscene involving a tholian dreadie and a na'khul dreadie colliding in space also need a fix, when i see the camera panning in the cutscene both ships are on the same spot intersecting each other and then i see a shockwave and thats it.

the balancing issues are the amount of na'khul ships warping in after saving the tholian queen from the assassins. the first wave is okay, the second wave has several frigates and a cruiser with more of the same in a 3rd wave, died a few times during that run which was made even more difficult when the defiant was knocked out of the fight.

same for the last one over caleb, the federation ship survivors need to depart and each time you take a few cruisers out 4 more show up from warp so by the time the allies are about to warp there is like 20 klingon ships in the area, you dont need that many to see an average player be destroyed. besides having the chance to take a few with the player as the ship gets permadeath before you and your officers are rescued by daniels would be nice :p.
    T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.

Is there any way for our 23rd century captains to reliably obtain standard photon torpedoes, or indeed any other type of torpedoes, from that time period when we're in the 25th century. Tried replaying the appropriate missions but so far none have dropped.

I'm really hoping we'll see TOS-style weapons at the TOS ESD stores...

    And, the appropriate transporter animations...

OH god. I am going to be so disappointed in this expansion if that's all there is to it. There should be at least 30 missions enough to get you up to Captain before you pop over. I mean the Romulus expansion had 30 or so missions that were unique to them. This is goign to be one lazy cheap expansion if it 6 missions and bame into the rest of the story.

I have to say, it does seem that with each new thing add they just do things half way or never get to them. They never bothered with Romulan doffs except the cadre you get initially. Getting actual Romulan boffs is extremely hard. They promised to build out the Reman section of New Romulus, but "never got to it". The Dyson Sphere Battle Zones were ideas originally intended to revamp PvP, but they also "never got to it" so they just plopped that into PvE and called it a day. They acknowledged that doff assignment areas after the space revamp were broke, but they have never bothered to fix that problem which manifests itself at its worst in the Alpha Quadrant. Now they go and add a new mini faction just so you get to play with classic ST for a little bit.

There is still a lot more to come for the new expansion, I'm sure. Both for the new missions already on Tribble and other stuff we haven't seen yet. I'm sure we'll see voice parts for pretty much all the of the new missions already on this test server for the TOS story arc. The missions already on Tribble will likely get polished up a bit more as well.

Whatever they have planned for the Agents of Yesterday Expansion I'm sure this is barely scratching the surface. Plus anything they keep as a surprise on release day. The new specialization isn't even on Tribble yet, and other possible new systems or features.

I certainly hope it's bigger than just six missions! On another note, I've been playing past the level when we jump to the 25th century and, playing the early missions with a ship one tier higher than usual is a lot of fun! Also noted that the comm signal, the transporter effects and your tricorder are all from the tos era. It's just a nice way to differentiate from the other characters so I thought I'd mention it.

Yeah, am I the only one who cares about endgame content over AoY leveling content?

The 23rd century is great, and I wish we could spend more time there... but, I'd rather do that at endgame, where ALL characters can enjoy it.

So true. I know it emcompasses Levels 0-10 (all the little Pioneer is good for), buy maybe a 10-20 TOS Arc before 25th Century (with another little TOS ship, similar to the Z-Store T2 TOSer (the beyond Fugly Daedalus *It's very well modelled, but it's a fugly ship*)).

I felt the TOS arc was too short, especially considering it had it's own sector space (where most of it was never utilised) and it's own home base (TOS ESD, which would be pretty cramped, but just imposing a smaller player limit per instance would work).

After finishing the very nice, but all too short TOS Arc, I noticed regular Sector Space had 2 Andoria Systems (Just Andoria, not nearby P'jem or Vulcan). I also noticed my tactical TOS Andorian could not complete the special tactical objective in "Stranded In Space".

If you can't solve it logically, solve it like a moron.

51 + 1 Foundry Character Slots is NOT enough. Some of us love our characters. If I want to buy more character slots, why can't I? I couldn't experience the entire Delta Recruitment event without deleting a character.

The Iconians themselves can't time travel because their memories revert, but there is nothing to say an Iconian couldn't write everything she needed to do on a PADD, pin it to herself, travel back, read the PADD, do the tasks and return. Or just get one of her Non-Herald underlings to go back in time for her.

Oh yeah, I do Foundry missions for both KDFs and Feds. Just search KSTF (Short for Kinas Special Task Force, where Kinas is the name of the Admiral you will be serving under). The earlier ones are less story based and more combat based, while the later ones have a much heavier story element, but keep the large battles.

AoY content (well, pretty much any post Delta Rising content) seems to be much better scaled (physically). Could we possibly get a better sized DS9 and K-7 (AKA about 1.25x actual rather than the rather insane 5x - 10x scale they seem to be)? TOS ESD is barely bigger than a Constitution Class (and would be easily dwarfed by pretty much every ship in service in the 25th century), yet the also TOS Era K-7 is so huge a Galaxy Class can fit in it's hangar bay (which should only fit a couple of shuttles) and DS9 is so massive that the docking ports that can only just contain the nose of a defiant (which is also oversized in STO, but it's not too noticeable (unlike certain shuttles) are big enough for a scimitar to shove it's entire nose in with no bother.

Agents Of Yesterday would be a perfect time to look at past content, it could be used to update a lot of old and dated (the old Featured Series are getting really dated now (the other missions of that era have been condensed and replaced by much more polished and paced missions), Spectres (which has a nice TOS theme) holds up well (but could still do with a little visual updating, although maybe the new lighting systems will fix that), but the romulan one involving Coliseum, Frozen, Cutting the Cord, etc and the "DS9 gets invaded by the lost Dominion fleet" one feel so clunky, badly paced and not fun (Of Bajor and Coliseum stick out here, both are exceedingly long and have little going on other than running around (the desert segment of Coliseum is a prime example, running extreme distances with no enemies, dialogue or anything)).

TOS Transporter effects are very nice, but the beam out animation seems very delayed (by a good few seconds) so by the time I am halfway through the animation, the map switches.

On a semi-related note, Federation ships (in both Tribble and Holodeck) are occasionally using the Romulan Green warp trails on warp out instead of the correct Federation Blue (although during Levels 1-10 my Pioneer was using the correct TOS White trails).

I think the balancing issues with the Na'kuhl ships is because they have their full ability set at Level 0 while most factions gradually gain their ability set on the way to 50. However, I did notice the 2 newest missions were horrible with balance, fine if we had a T4+ ship, but not possible with a little T0 ship (or even T1) ship with lacklustre Mk I or less White equipment. The balance felt like it was for a Level 50-60, not a Level 0-10 which is a big issue when it's Level 0-10 content.

As for the nonexistant ramming, I see that (along with the shuttle ramming the clamshell doors in the TOS tutorial mission) and any other cutscene issue as a mere nature of being on an early pre-release test server where it's much more important that it all progresses correctly rather than looks really nice (that comes after core functions). I would be a little worried if it was all finished and polished a full month before release.

The main problem I see with your equipment is that the loot is paced for a character starting at level 1, we start at level 5. By the time "Tangled webs" comes about we're level 8 going on 9 so we should have Mk1 greens for most of our weapons and equipment. That's just from mission rewards, not random loot drops. Random drops not withstanding, this mission is the first chance to upgrade our weapons. the reward for "Tangled webs" are a Mk1 green photon torpedo launcher and a Mk1 green beam bank. going into this mission with Mk1 greens would make it easier. Different Boff abilities also makes a significant difference EPtS and Haz Emitters are a godsend at this point, 2 playthroughs prove the difference between the default abilities and my preferred abilities.

Just a thought but, getting promoted to captaining our own ship, at the end of the tutorial seems like a good time to drop a few upgrades on us. (Hint, hint. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink! A nod's as good as a wink to a blind man, eh?)
