Have you tried doing a Force Verify when ya see the Bad patch come up on TRIBBLE?

So much for testing this before it goes to Holodeck.
I was having the bad patch earlier as well. But I did get around it by:
- Cancelling the Patch.
- Closing out the Launcher.
- Reopen the Launcher, let Holodeck finish its patch. Check force Verify
- After Checking Force Verify, change over to Tribble.
- Cancel the Force verify, remove the option. Close, and repatch, and got the correct patch.
Please note that today when I reloaded the launcher, I wasn't stuck in the old patch loop, and was pulling down the new 1012MB Patch. Hopefully the issue has been resolved. Will report more when the patch is done downloading.Kind Regards,
2311 days and counting.
They are on Tribble to be tested before it goes to Holodeck. They will also be on Redshirt to test before they go to Holodeck.
Some dev went on reddit (Which I hate using because the moderators are way too ban trigger happy) and said anything that goes into Redshirt just goes straight into the next Holodeck patch. If that is true then we'll probably just have a couple of days of Redshirt testing before it gets into Holodeck. Can't you lock out stuff from going into Holodeck in Redshirt just like you do with Tribble all the time?
Why would I want to report a problem on Tribble in the Redshirt forums?
the balancing issues are the amount of na'khul ships warping in after saving the tholian queen from the assassins. the first wave is okay, the second wave has several frigates and a cruiser with more of the same in a 3rd wave, died a few times during that run which was made even more difficult when the defiant was knocked out of the fight.
same for the last one over caleb, the federation ship survivors need to depart and each time you take a few cruisers out 4 more show up from warp so by the time the allies are about to warp there is like 20 klingon ships in the area, you dont need that many to see an average player be destroyed. besides having the chance to take a few with the player as the ship gets permadeath before you and your officers are rescued by daniels would be nice .
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
Commanding Officer: Captain Pyotr Ramonovich Amosov
Dedication Plaque: "Nil Intentatum Reliquit"
I finally got one, I think it's just chance.
And, the appropriate transporter animations...
OH god. I am going to be so disappointed in this expansion if that's all there is to it. There should be at least 30 missions enough to get you up to Captain before you pop over. I mean the Romulus expansion had 30 or so missions that were unique to them. This is goign to be one lazy cheap expansion if it 6 missions and bame into the rest of the story.
I have to say, it does seem that with each new thing add they just do things half way or never get to them. They never bothered with Romulan doffs except the cadre you get initially. Getting actual Romulan boffs is extremely hard. They promised to build out the Reman section of New Romulus, but "never got to it". The Dyson Sphere Battle Zones were ideas originally intended to revamp PvP, but they also "never got to it" so they just plopped that into PvE and called it a day. They acknowledged that doff assignment areas after the space revamp were broke, but they have never bothered to fix that problem which manifests itself at its worst in the Alpha Quadrant. Now they go and add a new mini faction just so you get to play with classic ST for a little bit.
Whatever they have planned for the Agents of Yesterday Expansion I'm sure this is barely scratching the surface. Plus anything they keep as a surprise on release day. The new specialization isn't even on Tribble yet, and other possible new systems or features.
The 23rd century is great, and I wish we could spend more time there... but, I'd rather do that at endgame, where ALL characters can enjoy it.
I'm sure we'll get some of that.
So true. I know it emcompasses Levels 0-10 (all the little Pioneer is good for), buy maybe a 10-20 TOS Arc before 25th Century (with another little TOS ship, similar to the Z-Store T2 TOSer (the beyond Fugly Daedalus *It's very well modelled, but it's a fugly ship*)).
I felt the TOS arc was too short, especially considering it had it's own sector space (where most of it was never utilised) and it's own home base (TOS ESD, which would be pretty cramped, but just imposing a smaller player limit per instance would work).
After finishing the very nice, but all too short TOS Arc, I noticed regular Sector Space had 2 Andoria Systems (Just Andoria, not nearby P'jem or Vulcan). I also noticed my tactical TOS Andorian could not complete the special tactical objective in "Stranded In Space".
Agents Of Yesterday would be a perfect time to look at past content, it could be used to update a lot of old and dated (the old Featured Series are getting really dated now (the other missions of that era have been condensed and replaced by much more polished and paced missions), Spectres (which has a nice TOS theme) holds up well (but could still do with a little visual updating, although maybe the new lighting systems will fix that), but the romulan one involving Coliseum, Frozen, Cutting the Cord, etc and the "DS9 gets invaded by the lost Dominion fleet" one feel so clunky, badly paced and not fun (Of Bajor and Coliseum stick out here, both are exceedingly long and have little going on other than running around (the desert segment of Coliseum is a prime example, running extreme distances with no enemies, dialogue or anything)).
On a semi-related note, Federation ships (in both Tribble and Holodeck) are occasionally using the Romulan Green warp trails on warp out instead of the correct Federation Blue (although during Levels 1-10 my Pioneer was using the correct TOS White trails).
I think the balancing issues with the Na'kuhl ships is because they have their full ability set at Level 0 while most factions gradually gain their ability set on the way to 50. However, I did notice the 2 newest missions were horrible with balance, fine if we had a T4+ ship, but not possible with a little T0 ship (or even T1) ship with lacklustre Mk I or less White equipment. The balance felt like it was for a Level 50-60, not a Level 0-10 which is a big issue when it's Level 0-10 content.
As for the nonexistant ramming, I see that (along with the shuttle ramming the clamshell doors in the TOS tutorial mission) and any other cutscene issue as a mere nature of being on an early pre-release test server where it's much more important that it all progresses correctly rather than looks really nice (that comes after core functions). I would be a little worried if it was all finished and polished a full month before release.
Just a thought but, getting promoted to captaining our own ship, at the end of the tutorial seems like a good time to drop a few upgrades on us. (Hint, hint. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink! A nod's as good as a wink to a blind man, eh?)
