    What do I expect from an Elite Queue? Something that requires some diversified team compositions. Basically, what HSE used to be. Having content that requires a tank, healer, high damage, and crowd control would do wonders for game balance and the players community, at least downstrem. That being said, I don't see this happening.

    How about boarding parties which aren't cleared by a mere tactical team.
    This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    I have done ISAs where everybody but me was doing under 3k DPS. So for Elite I would want:
    - only good Players to join (a DPS acco - if you did more than a certain number of DPS in any PvE you get an acco that allows you to join Queue)
    - good rewards (ie also ingame rewards, like Upgrades)
    - challenging - not just Shorter time and more hit Points but intelligent AI
    - no lag
    18 characters
    KDF: 2 tacs, 2 engs, 3 scis
    KDF Roms: 3 tacs, 1 eng, 1 scis
    FED: 2 tacs, 1 eng, 2 scis
    TOS: 1 tac
    all on T5 rep (up to temporal)
    all have mastered Intel tree (and some more specs Points)
    highest DPS: 60.982

    For elite?

    We already have elite.

    In those elite we have we encounter exciting escort missions, rescue missions, strategic team splits, hide and hit tasks, rift closures, numerous side quests, fantastic fails and bitter hard optional directives…

    It’s all there and oh, all empty! :'(

    Ok some of the elite missions there may have some neat DPS checks to keep the terribads newbes out but they can do advanced and normal versions of those missions.

    Wait, those are empty too. :/

    Now I’m clueless to what’s this all about?

    Ah the plain and simple borg stf and cc everybody can't stop doing? Sure I want elite of those too!

    Just multiply the hit points of the critters there to match those we have in HSE but otherwise let them exactly the way they are.

    All those players around here asking for creative changes towards them prove their credibility by their absence in the numerous elite maps we already have.

    Whether or not they put random stuff, or add HP or give then player abilities, Elite mobs should hit hard, hard enough that you can't race them with DPS. Either someone tanks for the team with healing support or the team would do defensive strafing runs to win.

    I expect something more than a damage sponge. You know, an actual challenge.

    -Fail conditions.
    -Enemies with sufficient stats to resist high-performance players.
    -Variation based on RNG and/or adapting to player loadouts.
    -Single-player qualifying missions that players must complete with sufficient performance to unlock Elite queues.

    -A reward that doesn't lose to grinding piece-of-cake queues like ISA over and over.

    I knew using Kinetics would be playing the game on hard mode, but what I didn't realize was how bad the deck is stacked against Kinetics.

    Here's an interesting what-if (at least it's interesting in my head), What if advanced and elite missions required simultaneous or well coordinated space action, ground action and station action in order to succeed? Let's say that the fleet has to secure the system, a special forces team secures the control hub of planetary defense system, and then a ground team captures and holds territory while someone assigns diplomatic DOFFs to negotiate the cessation of hostilities. Secure and hold every position until the diplomats report success or disaster, which causes overwhelming enemy numbers to storm you positions.

    ISA is on a loop.

    People play it to parse. Because people parse on it, it goes fairly quickly. Because it goes quickly, it's pretty active. Because it's active, more people play it. Because people play it, they discover parsing and DPS.

    Repeat.

    Having taken the time to read this thread, I have to say that the "conditions" that make Elite content Elite - that stand out for me at least - are:
    randomised BOff setups on the enemies;
    adaptive battle conditions/realistic scripting - thanks @sophlogimo;
    non-resource rewards (thanks @risian4 for that one :));
    intelligent AI/a strategic fight/a need for teamwork instead of pure DPS; a need for communication; and
    randomised mission setups a la Korfez (never played it, thanks @burstorion others for the suggestion :)).

    Ive completed GTGE a few times (I pug all the time so it's hit and miss depending on the team) and same for VCE. I'm a PvPer so I don't have a problem with PvE difficulty but it is boring as nothing ever counters.
