They say you shouldn't judge something before you try it. Well, there are plenty of people who seem to be hating AoY. Conversely, someone also posted a thread asking for only positive feedback and threatening to remove any negative posts. So now we have the question:
And where are people with a middle ground opinion supposed to post? We have unfounded hate threads and an unfounded hurrah thread now, but if I'm looking forward to some aspects of it and am worried about others, where do I sign up?
And the answer is: Right here!
That said, here is my take. I *do* like TOS, and I think it is probably the best business move to cash in on that fandom. I *don't* like that this seems to be putting the KDF and ROMs on the back burner, and probably signals their place there going forward. That said, I know Starfleet players make up the majority of the playerbase, so it's a business decision. So, at *worst*, this will be a bunch of new Fed themed content to enjoy for FREE. And I can't really argue with that price point.

thats a bit overly harsh and its not for you to state how a moderator should act on the forum.
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
You misread. I didn't say anything about how anyone should act.

nope thats pretty clear.

- I don't like the TOS stuff (this kind of science fiction is totally backward),
- I'm not interested by the TOS ships (most of them are not very nice, and don't fit with my personal view of scifi);
- I'm not interested by the temporal stuff (i don't like the designs, and all the story about this temporal nonsense is boring).
So, I hope that the new missions would be a little bit interesting. I'm just happy for the TOS fans, they have waited since a long time something like that.
1 last thing; my main problem with this kind of event is that they are limited in time. And after the end, we still have nothing to do after level 60. + I know that cryptic earn a lot of money with the ships, but they should try to add more stuff in the c-store; I have personally enough ships, I don't care about the starship traits (I have 4 slots and already too many traits); I would like to improve now my characters (clothes, weapons etc)
Yes.. right here. Not in one of the countless other feedback threads dealing with all possible aspects of what we know so far...
Yep, it is pretty clear. Saying what someone actually did is completely different from saying "how they should act". Glad you finally understand!
You see, I would have thought the same thing. However I am operating under the premise that midniteshadow7 used as the basis for his thread. He said that since all the other thread were negative, he was going to post a positive one. If that is correct, then that means there is no "middle ground" thread. So that is what this is for. If you want to argue that he was wrong and that all of the others weren't negative, that is fine. But again, I am operating under *his* premise.

On the other hand I am not excited about it. When it comes out I will give it a fair shot. If I don't like it I will just go back to doing the things I already do.
Some small part of me wishes they'd spent their time elsewhere.
Not a huge deal either way.
