Youre not the only one @bergins... Cryptic did give away those items before.... Thousands of players...

I'm sure of you buy the pack you'll be fine... Otherwise if it's like previous packs were if you have one item already... Cryptic is going to loose hundreds if not thousands of $$$$...

So again I'm sure you'll be fine as well as me!

I look forward to the official announcement!

it's not a new faction, it's like a rework of the delta recruit

What's the point in seperating "TOS" - Characters from "Federation" - Characters, then ?

It heavily implies that "TOS" Characters can't be (regular) "Federation" - Characters or vica versa ...

I can see it now: Roll a new character that acts as a temporal agent from the 23rd century. Grows up fighting with Kirk and the Enterprise, gets recruited into the Temporal Cold War with access to the 24th, 29th and 31st centuries. Can travel through time almost at will.

I think something along these lines is likely. A whole new storyline that'll bring us up to current missions, much as LoR did for the Romulan F(r)action.

You can't possibly know that yet. You may be correct. You may not be. Please don't attempt to pass opinion off as fact.

Yeah, about that... how "cold" can a war be if you blow each other up whereever you go? If the US armed forces and USSR armed forces had ever fought each other directly I doubt they would have continued to call it "cold war".

Looks...interesting. Just wonder how in depth the new missions/leveling will be. And in the end do our new toons pop up in 2410/2411?

And that's why I loved LoR so much. Looks like I was pretty close, new announcement just went up!

Much as I love the ToS, one hundred pounds sterling is a fair chunk of cash... is it worth the money? We'll have to wait for review threads and so on.

It's also marketed as purchasable DLC, which as a lifetime member has me concerned.

Read again ... to sum up ... new "Faction" set in the TOS Era (new Ships, new Story-Arc etc) ... and additonal Recruitment Event for the first 6 weeks ...
In addition to the ability to create a brand new Star Trek: The Original Series Starfleet captain ...

Because the two factions facing off in the cold war use proxy wars and minor countries/species to "fight" each other. Same thing happened between the US and USSR.

"Agents of Yesterday will allow players to create a new captain in Star Trek: The Original Series era and will set them on an adventure featuring classic story lines, locations, celebrities, and era-appropriate starships. In 2270, the year following the third season of the original series, the player will adventure with Walter Koenig, reprising his role of Chekov, and Chris Doohan, filling in for his father as Scotty."

I am at work and can't get at anything with 'news' in the address.
Can anyone tell me when this begins and ends? Because it sort of sounds like the TOS era a lot of people have been asking for. And $130 is not something I have laying around and want to budget for.
Any word you can post here would be great. Thanks.

It's an Expansion so it begins "Summer" (according to the Trailer) and probably ends "never" ...

Or are you asking about the Discount Price for the new pack ... if so probably till right before or even after the actual release ... which is again "Summer" ...

Says it is released in Summer 2016, so my guess is sometime between July-September.
