Two posts, didn't see anything in GNN - but one of those 'we are making the bundles more attractive' offers.

Which leads me to wonder what new ships are coming our way... Do I buy $60 of Zen and hope something good is coming, or not?
I could tell you, but then Morrigan would get me soooo bad!
On the original topic, with the Dilithium to Zen so out of control and no ships in the cstore that I really need, I will be waiting...
Oh, that would be a problem. 3 ships at once I'm interested in.
I believe 78 was the lowest I ever remember seeing it.

How nice it would be of Cryptic to just bundle the ships of various tiers in a Set Bundle, rather like they did for the Galaxy bundle.
More recently though, they've tended to announce new ships well in advance and often had a ship sale going when the new ship released. They've also tended to promote zen sales in conjunction with major release announcements to stimulate zen sales.
The fact that we don't have blogs about new ships tells me we aren't getting one yet. Maybe they'll announce later today, or next week, or maybe they won't. I suppose this is intended to boost zen sales, but without a new shiny on the horizon I feel little incentive to buy zen.
I think it'd be neat for them to work on dynamic bundles like heroes of the storm. Currently, if you own part of a bundle, the actual bundle is no longer available. with the dynamic bundles, the parts you own are deducted from the cost of the bundle. probably not too many people benefit, but for things like the voyager interior that requires a bundle purchase, or if someone has a ship in the delta rising pack, you could still acquire parts that are only in bundles.
I'm on board with that idea. It makes sense.
The fact that you can't buy a bundle after you try one of the ships and find out you like it seems like a disincentive to throw money at the screen. You'd think a marketer would try to train us to that Pavlovian response by encouraging it.
It would open up all sorts of interesting choices in terms of purchases. I mean I bought the Command Battlecruiser 3-pack but I've never touched the engineering version, so it's wasted. Now if I could have dropped it and had the Hestia instead I would be more than happy.
Plus I think "ship" bundles would be cool. So you could get say all the Intrepid classes plus the Pathfinder in once 3-pack, or perhaps all 3 Tactical Escorts. You could even do the same with the Odyssey, Bort's and Scimitar's too but make them a 2-pack.
Agree on the announcements on new ships. Unless the 5/5/16 thing includes a ship to buy. . .
As to an incentive. If you think you want zen in the future. Buying it when it is on sale is great.
Personally I need to get my lobi up for summer.

Nor should they be. Their ships would look weird.
Always appreciate a sale.
The only thing I'd add is the prices still feel too steep.
Maybe that's me just being and old, out of touch gamer.
Not used to this new world of free games and Thirty dollar ships.
I always do prefer to just sub for a game instead, which I'm doing here incidentally.
Just letting the zen build over the months and buying something on a ship sale day.
My point is, I've never been shy in other games about shelling out for cosmetics and the like.
If you want new content, you've got to put your hand in your pocket and shell out for it.

I just find myself thinking if the dollar to zen ratio was a little more favorable, I'd be topping up my zen for a few extra ships and impulse powered purchases come the sales instead of squirreling it away over the months.
On the topic of new ships, I'll be interested to see them flying about or sitting on the show room floor in the zen store.
It'll be a while before my zen resources refill enough to afford even the bumper stickers.
