  I've been FTP for the past two years now, text Chat and the exchange(s) are available to all players. Please give specifics, which exchange (Dilithium? or the Energy Credits Exchange?) what were you trying to buy (with high traffic items like lockbox keys, you are almost always going to fail to purchase the first, or cheapest one listed, simply because there are around 20 people also trying to complete the transaction), which chat were you trying to use (voice? or text?), what channel did you set the chat to? where were you? or anything else that might be helpful.

  
  So basically, the Federation is an organization that exists to protect and preserve peace. I guess we do an awful lot of killing though. Oh well, that isn't important, for now let's roll up our sleeves and get to work.

  there are almost no premium features. So its not that.
  
  Chat, if you havent been banned for acting like a moron, shoud just work. You generally have to be pretty offensive consistently to get a chat ban so you should know if you managed to do this. Did you accidentally change channel tabs?
  
  The exchange (credits & items exchange) is also simple to use. As the above person said high traffic items can be bought and sold so fast that you get fail messages. Otherwise, if you have the credits, it should also just work. I don't even know if its possible to get a trade ban. Some items can't be sold, but buying is a click away.
  
  This seems pretty odd, can you tell us exactly what is happening?
  Is there any chance your networking is super poor quality?

  It's regular chat text, ever since I started playing back at the beginning of the year, never could chat in none of the channels. As for the exchange, just the regular exchange at the starbase(s), not the zen/dilithium stuff. I am able to sell stuff I find that I don't need on there just fine, was just confused on why I couldn't buy anything off of it. Thanks for clearing it up for me, still unsure why it won't let me really text chat in game.
  
  Let me get in game right quick and try to buy a item and post right back on exactly the message I get. I'll just edit this post if it still does it.
  
  "Cannot send zone chat with newly created account" is the error I get when trying to chat, been like this since I started playing for 3-4 months now.
  
  Final edit, don't worry about helping me the exchange part of the problem, it's working fine both ways. It's probably what getbackupagain said. Again, thanks

  the chat thing is a bug. They do block a new account but not for THAT long. I would submit a ticket about that.

  Try using dilithium and buying one zen. It used to be locked on an account until you had a zen balance. Doing that used to unlock it. You dont need to keep the zen. So buy it check the chat then resell the zen.

  It's all fixed now, they fixed my chat problem last night. and exchange is working fine now. Thanks
