Hanger pets in formation when using intercept command

I really would like an option to keep hanger pets in formation so they can dock quicker and fire at the same shield facing the carrier is.
Possibly change intercept command to do this. Keep the functionality of intercept command but stay in formation doing it.
They will still fire at a target you have selected and can do a better job of intercepting high yields and things coming towards your carrier.
This is not going to be OP for a number of reasons. Yes the pets should last longer because everything will be in range of your carrier to hit and generate threat, But the pets will be very vulnerable to grav wells and aoe on your ship. Just like why you don't launch pets while you are in a grav well as it is right now.
Main reason many would like this is so the pets will not keep getting left behind. Especially on tricky maps where pets will get stuck.

Should make slower frigates stay with you. Fighters, maybe they could break formation but they would still be better staying near the carrier.
