STO app not launching

I have been traveling for a month and got home yesterday. I launched the STO app and nothing happened. I launched the ARC app and nothing happened. I tried to run both as administrator and nothing happened. Not sure if there was an update or something or whether I should remove and reload those programs. Any advice?

I am also stuck at patching and nothing I can do as the game crashes on patching.

Its a bit of a balls up TBH, a patch that crashes the game from even starting
