Best ground reputation set these days?

I have a kdf Gorn tactical captain who's still using Jemmie ground set. I want to use the upcoming Voth event to grind out a new set. I was thinking Iconian. Anyone suggest different?

Don't let them promote you. Don't let them transfer you. Don't let them do anything that takes you off the bridge of that ship, because while you're there... you can make a difference.

Icon is good for a raw hp buff and the armor has good resists. The shield lacks a dodge chance bonus but does clear a rebuff every 10 secs. Don't much care for the gun compared to others. The Omega rep stuff is still really good IMO.

Omega Force is still a decent set and the armour looks SWAT. Plus the gun is a full-auto antiproton which isn't bad.

Iconian isn't bad either and is great for team damage and personal survivability.

I'd also like to suggest the Undine Counter-Command set. I've always gone for form over function though.

3 piece Iconian has a great 30 sec from every 2mins boost - + 33% damage, + 20% HP, + 10% run speed for whole team. Downside is the pulsewave weapon has to be carried as one of your two weapons, but does not have to be active, its not a horrible shooter as such but not really a first, second or third choice for many. Fleet weapons, herald projectors and shield penetrating 116b rifles seem pretty common on elite ground grinds. Gorn get extra melee damage, if going for a melee weapon + shooter the iconian gun is probably a compromise.

Iconian 2 piece add HP and 5% armour penetration. The iconian datacores are easiest to get from a couple of ground missions on kobali prime, 'Breaking the wall' and 'With our last breath', on follows the other each giving one datacore.

Terran has good protection, and great armour penetration on flanked targets; 2 piece dirsuptor damage boost and 3 piece area effect zap one per 90 sec; the rep also includes a special batleth - a nice tactical option that has visuals that some really like. This rep has a Gravimetic Inducer token, available from terran queues at adv or elite and also by spending 100 terran marks in the rep system.

I believe the most common armour choice for high dps ground guys has been the fleet armour that boosts crits, then adds weapons, shield and kit of choice.

Some kits come with +20% energy weapon damage boost, ideal for a tac shooter oriented character.

I have roms in the rom navy set, this adds 20% plasma and 50% to secondary firing mode, as I generally favour split beams this can give a hard hitting first volley when additionally buffed. My feds are in a mix of gear.

If we're talking reputation set, Omega is still tops as it buffs CritD and CritH as well as damage. However:

Consider the romulan navy set. The Kit plus shield + Fleet armor is FORMIDABLE. Especially if you run plasma weapons. (Its also cheap)

Just so the OP knows the fleet armour in question gives +80% CritD
People then buy a thing called Gambling Device, comes from lobi store and sells on the exchange for about 3.5m, it acts like a tribble but adds a whopping 10% CritH and 10% CritD; on elite and advanced runs these are standard, other equipment varies quite a bit but most are running with those.

+90% CritD plus stacked buffs and expose allow for four digit crits, the + 10% CritH keep them coming. There are ground players that way out crit a T1 ship.

In two weeks time there is the double points upgrade event, this then halves the cost of taking your gear from 12 to 14, I'd recommend that for your character, kinda expensive for the away team boffs.

Dude....fight club and all of that. Now it will get nerfed.

But yeah, I pretty much havent run any Rep armors since the fleet armors came out/ the set bonuses are too situational for me. And If I need to kill Borg I'll just get a fractal or a TR.

    That said:

Nukka Shield or Rom shield are best shield. My opinion.

Elite Fleet Ground Equipment is very good for starters, as is that Imperial Romulan Navy set. Both are good for ground tanks. The Dyson set is also good for tanking.

As you can see I only know which ground sets are good for tanking so I may not be much help. :D

I run CC kit armor and rifle, with MACO/AMACO rifle and shield sometimes to be super tanky, as the combined set abilities of those two eat up 1k damage
