{NOT S.T.O. Related} How do I get SFC II to work on Windows 10?

OK, so I put the Starfleet Command Volume II disc in and install it, but when I play it, the game screen is smaller than the Comp. screen and when I start playing, the game crashes. Can anyone assist me with any info on how to fix this please?

    Have you tried running in compatibility mode? I have only recently started messing with Windows 10, so im not sure it has this mode, but 7 and 8 did I believe.
    Another thing to consider is how old is the game? If its 32 bit then chances are it wont run on windows 10 as the architecture is very different than Xp and before. If you could play it on 7 than chances are you CAN play it on 10, however it may require some tweaking to make work.

    Okay - this is crashing when you enter a mission? I've used this successfully on SFC 1 and I've heard it works on Empires at War - http://www.gog.com/forum/star_trek_starfleet_command/potential_win_10_fix

    OK antonine3258, I've set up the "async=0" stuff, but there's one more issue: the screen is small. Can you find out how to fix this?

    Set it to play full-screen? SFC comes from a far different era in monitor resolutions.

    Yeah antonine, with the crash thing, the screens OK now, but The Keys won't respond and when click the ESC key and click back in, the game glitches. Now whether I'm not looking for it good enough or if I'm being stupid, how do I find the key button config?

    Not sure on that - it may be a config file, I don't see a 'keybind' in some brief googling. gog forums may be the best place to check. I really don't recommend alt-tabbing a lot with the system though.
