Double XP

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
Am I missing something? It clearly states it is double XP weekend yet I am only getting regular XP?

    They delayed the server maint for one day so it should start fri after update.

    I see, thanks. Though unfortunate I was looking forward to leveling up a new toon tonight :/

    It's a good idea to check the GNN forum when you're lost and confused, crying in the wilderness.

    FYI, it's a Marks weekend not XP. That's also listed in GNN.

    The Marks weekend was a last minute change/cancelation for no apparent reason

    True, but it IS mentioned in both the Friday patch notes thread and the Marks thread in GNN.

    Visit GNN and you'll know. AND KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE!

    They should remove the Calendar from the game as they dont seem to know whats wrong with it or cant fix it without breaking something else just make a web version on their site and change the calendar button in game to link to it.

    The calendar is only broken for some things but not the feature episodes and month long events?

    It does seem a bit odd. Usually most organizations and companies adhere to whatever they advertised even if it was in error. If you don't you risk losing customer loyalty, it's just simply a standard business practice. If it was broken why didn't they remove it? Oh well, not that big of a deal to me, I was just looking forward to leveling some new characters and was wondering what was up.

    Seriously? Its been broken before so its perfectly fine? How in the hell do you even consider that a valid argument? That's like saying its perfectly fine that your cable is jacked up cause its been jacked up before, and therefore doesn't require a fix or explanation.

    At my job when something breaks, I go into as much detail as I can to explain to my customers why it happened, what I did to fix it, and why its not going to happen again. The only acknowledgment Cryptic has given us about this is "We are having a Bonus Marks event this weekend! The ingame calendar will eventually be updated with this change." No "Sorry, bug", or "Sorry, someone clicked the wrong option in a drop-down menu", just a giant middle finger to anyone who actually uses the calendar.

    Yeah, I been waiting as well.
    But my general thought is that they will wait with XP Weekened till the new skillsystem is up.

    If you look at the calendar now you will see we have a new weeklong exp unlock coming - which is why they changed this weekend's exp bonus not because it is broken.

    They altered it to a marks weekend one day before thursday maintenance (which ended up on friday) and they never bothered to change the calendar on either day.
