Good to see my Aggronauts out there putting out videos. If you want to know more about how you can do things like the above come visit us at /r/STOAggronauts.

What's the qualification to join the Aggronauts? I'm fixing to give it a go, I've compiled nearly all necessary equipment and traits.

I can't operate a parser, tried multiple times and my computer just said nope.

I don't remember the exact quals needed; I have talked to Zerg and he will be posting them on the subreddit /r/stoaggronauts sometime today.

I'll repost them here when he does.

Thank you. A fleet buddy of mine operates some nasty PVP tanks so that's what I'm modeling my build after. Was gonna use the science oddy but I like my Quas too...

For build advice i HIGHLY recommend going to /r/stobuilds. You can ask about PvE tank builds and get some really excellent suggestions.

I'm not sure a PvP tank (is that really a thing?) would work in PvE. For PvE you really need to build an "Aggro-Tank", i.e.: a very high DPS ship that can draw aggro and survive it.

I believe the starting point would be 50k DPS and higher, and the ability to draw at least 50% of the team's Attacks In. Aggro in this game is based off of DPS, all the +threat modifiers are just multipliers of the aggro generated by your weapons. Distance to target, heals and science abilities can also generate threat but it's mainly DPS.

Most of the really good aggro tanks can hit well over the 75k+ DPS mark and grab ~80% of a team's Attacks In if they are the sole tank in a group.

I suppose that makes sense. Drawing aggro from NPC'S would be an important first step for a PVE tank, this thing doesn't lack for heals though.

Well I've got four embassy threat consoles and several copies of adak'ukan I've been saving for years should they ever become useful. They just did I guess. Without the ability to use a parser I haven't really had the ability to gauge my builds except on the few occasions a friend has parsed my ship's. I switch builds and ship type so often it's difficult to keep track.
