Desperate Measures....I'm desperate!

Okay, I'm Really new at this. Can anyone give me some tips that might help me beat the Desperate Measures scenerio, or is this the Star Trek Online version of the Kobyashi Maru?

    Or at least be sure to target the big green torpedoes before they impact your hull. Big green torpedoes are not your friend!

    Also, Hazard Emitters 1 or 2 (Science power) helps to soothe the itch of a plasma burn.

    Use a melee weapon or make sure you have a frequency Remodulator which you can get for free in the replicator tab in your inventory

    Zefram Shotgun and the TR-116b Sniper Rifle are also an option if you have them. Both do physical damage like a normal melee weapon and thus the borg cannot adapt. Avoid the nanopulse melee weapons as, iirc, they deal energy not physical.

    I don't really remember much about that mission, what bit is giving you trouble?

    Given it's a romulan mission, im going to assume the D'D battlecruisers are giving you trouble. Good tip for them is use beam fire at will (a tactical power) or if you have a science vessel, use either tractor beam repulsors or photonic shockwave.
    warp plasma can't melt neutronium beams

    The problem is defeating multiple Borg drones after reconfiguring one of thier sattelites. Seems to me the smart thing to do would be to just warp for the nearest federation base and drop off the refugees from the Vega Colony, but that doesn't appear to be a option.
